I suggest you find an attorney specifically for your I-485 filing who is faster and more responsive. Given that USCIS may move the cutoff dates back, making current cases non-current in the next notification, a good lawyer should understand this urgency and treat your case with the importance it deserves. Ellis Porter lawyers are slow and managers show a lack of concern for clients’ issues. The lawyers typically respond to only one question per day, even if you ask multiple questions in a single message. This means if you ask four questions, they will randomly pick one to answer the next day, and you have to repeat the remaining questions in subsequent messages. Even if you respond the same day, it still takes a week to get answers to just four questions that could be addressed in a single day. With just four weeks to file I-485, they effectively start working on your case in the second week, assuming you have no further questions and they immediately provide the necessary documentation. They don't seem to care if your case becomes non-current again because they prioritize money over client service, which goes against the lawyers' oath. My experience: - Asked one question -> Received the response the next day - Asked another question the next day -> Received a non-relevant response the following day - Responded the same day, asking for clarification -> Received a response the same day but without clarification - Asked another, more important question the same day -> Received a response the next day saying my question was signed with another name - Corrected the name error within 5 minutes -> The next day was a holiday, so no response - Wrote a letter to change my lawyer to someone who can handle multiple questions -> Received a rude response stating there is nothing wrong with their lawyer, which I forwarded to their manager and received no reply
