My I-140 was recently approved, and I'd like to share my experience working with Elis Porter. Overall, I found their service to be quite efficient and relatively hassle-free. One of the major benefits was the minimal time I had to spend on writing. I only spent about four hours preparing my career summary and personal statement, and they accepted my first draft without much revision. Initially, this raised some concerns about whether they reviewed it thoroughly, as many of my friends spent much more time revising their documents. At the start, Elis Porter advised me not to include conferences in my evidence, saying they wouldn’t add much value. However, when I received an RFE (Request for Evidence), I had to submit a form where I ended up including the conferences I attended as part of my experience in the field. This made me realize that it’s essential to clarify early on which documents and evidence you have available that could potentially strengthen your case, so your story can be built around them from the beginning. In comparison to other services, I found Elis Porter’s approach to be much less time-consuming. They were able to build a strong case with relatively little input from me, and their quick responses were a major plus. Suggestions: It would be beneficial if they were more thorough in discussing what kinds of evidence could be included early in the process to avoid missing anything important later on. Having a clear conversation upfront about potential evidence would make the process smoother. While I believe the work they did doesn’t fully justify the $5.5K fee (now raised to $7K), after reviewing the legal brief, I feel that self-filing could be a viable option to save money—especially if you have time and access to templates from friends. However, tackling an RFE on your own could be challenging, and self-filing would require a lot more effort and dedication.

I would have written this review even if my EB1-A application was not successful as the merits of my case are completely different from the strategy & execution to present it to USCIS - that is completely down to John and his beyond stellar team, specifically paralegal - Caitlyn Buchanan. From the initial consultation to the no-nonsense, straight-forward rating of the odds of eventual success of the application and the drafting of the petition with evidences (totaling over 600 pages ;-) that I will come to in a sentence) - their work has been professional, thorough, respectful and overall exemplary. The pages of evidence matter since I got an approval notice without any RFEs. Yes, I did take my time in getting the material together; but, I would not have done that without their proactive (shoutout to Caitlyn) follow-up. Overall, I would strongly recommend Jonathan and Caitlyn for anybody looking to get their EB1 or EB2-NIW petitions together
