After dealing with my ex-wife for years, it became apparent she would never honor my rights as a father. This fact made me seek out ADAM of Southfield, Michigan- the law firm where Dion Roddy practices.
Over the course of our case, I had the pleasure of witnessing Dion's professionalism, compassion, and quiet confidence. Not only did he completely dismantle all of opposing council's falsehoods and claims, he displayed a great deal of care and compassion towards me and my family. It was apparent he truly cared for my family. Dion was always sure to respond to my communications and quickly return calls. Bottom line- Mr. Roddy cares deeply about his clients. It is clear he will always do everything in his power to win the day for his clients, as he did for me.
In a few short months, Dion was able to accomplish everything we set out to do, everything I had been working towards for years. We achieved a proper and fair parenting time schedule, rotating holidays, two weeks with my son during the summer months, and so much more. Because of Dion Roddy, I am able to be a father, on my terms and with the right amount of time with my son. My life feels whole and complete, with my son in my life as he should be. I have Dion Roddy and his law firm to thank for this. I can only give him my thanks, gratitude, and the highest of praises. Dion Roddy is a fantastic lawyer and an amazing man.

First mistake of my divorce was to hire ADAM. Best idea of my divorce was to change attorneys. Second mistake of my divorce was to change to another one within the ADAM organization. Dion is a very inexperienced and timid attorney. While he may in fact know the law, he is the farthest thing from aggressive as you can get. You need an attorney that is in the driver's seat, and Dion is not only not in the driver's seat, but he's not even in the car...he's in the trunk. His communication skills are extremely poor...when I asked him a question and he gave me the "legal-ese" answer I would tell him I didn't understand what that meant (I'm a white collar professional with a Bachelor's degree in engineering, so I'm not an idiot) he would simply regurgitate the same thing, not realizing that I am not an attorney, and wanted an explanation that did not involve as many legal terms. More times than not I had to lead Dion by the nose on what to do next on the case, how to go about the next steps, etc. I also had to request that NO documents leave his office prior to my review because there were multiple errors that were made, and he was not following my requests as far as what course of action I wanted. I felt like ADAM did everything but look out for my best interests...I wish I could take it all back. They are horrible, slow, expensive, and just plain poor attorneys.
One thing I learned about picking a divorce attorney is this: if a firm has to advertise in order to get clients, there's probably a reason for it. ADAM is just a high priced law firm that does a better job of advertising what they do, than actually doing what they advertise.

Going through a divorce is a difficult process for anyone. My divorce was particularly difficult because there was abuse from my ex - partner and I have a young child with special needs. Mr. Roddy has the unique combination of empathy and legal expertise to efficiently guide you through your legal journey. A combination that makes working with him a very positive and lasting experience no matter the current direction of your case. I am honored to have worked with him and to hear some of his personal motivation for practicing law. He has provided an immeasurable amount of energy and dedication to something that is so important to me. His presence and guidance has been a huge factor in the success of my family.
