Up until just recently, I would have given them 5 stars.
First, I was with the company since July of 21. Recently I have not seen much activity in my account so I decided I was going to cancel, which is a whole other story, #2.
Upon checking my account I noticed I did not receive a discount for signing up my daughter. Back in January I was sent an email that offered 50% to me for signing someone up and 50% to them if they joined. My daughter joined and neither of us have received the discount in the last two billing cycles.
Upon my chat of canceling I mentioned this to the representative and she questioned the deal. She said you only get 50% when you sign someone up within 72 hours of you joining. I said it was a special that was offered to me, but she continued to question me. At the time I could not remember how I was offered this special...if I called, or if it was text to me, I just could not remember and I told her this. She did offer me a discount but only if I continued with the program...I said fine I guess I’ll stay with the program one more month. She then retracted and said I do not want you to stay with the company just to get the discount. But I felt this was the only way I was going to get the deal that was offered.
We continued to go back and forth until I finally found the email and copy and pasted it into the chat. That apparently was not good enough for her because I was questioned if it was mailed directly to me. 🤦🙄Well yes it was, and I can forward the email. So I uploaded the email while she reviewed and came back with only one discount to me. I said, "and my daughter's account??" She responded with I'm sorry but the policy is within 72 hours of joining she would get the discount. I responded I'm sorry too, because that's not what it states in the email, black and white it states… I get 50% and she gets 50%, no time limit no stipulations, no small print. So I would like what is rightfully due to me without being bribed to continue with the program. She took another moment to review and ended up giving me 50% off of my daughter's account. Why did it have to come to this??? 45 minutes of trying to prove myself when it should have been given to us 1 to 2 to billing cycles ago no questions asked. I’m appalled. Whatever happened to the customer is always right??
Now for the 2nd reason, back in November, I was chatting with another representative that offered to me a new technique of “notarizing” that would continue negotiating with the few creditors that refused to remove a couple late accounts and it was no additional cost. These were actuallyfrom years ago when I had an injury and was getting a little behind in bills, and just wanted to get them removed, so I agreed and had her move forward with this notarizing technique.
Fast forward to my conversation today March 28th 2022, mind you 4 months later. I was speaking with her about the reason I wanted to cancel...mostly because there had not been much activity lately, she offered the notarizing technique to me at no additional cost. I told her I was under the impression that this technique was already being applied in my account. She responded with not that I see. What?!?!?! I wondered what anyone has been doing within my account for the last 4 months, if anything, because it wasn't what I thought. I was not going to make any more waves.. I just wanted to be done with this conversation now.
If you plan on signing on with Lexington Law, just don’t let it go on any longer then need be, I feel they take advantage and slow the process down after the first few months when a lot of action is going on. Also, My daughter had 1 mutual card with her mother in law that was actually giving her good credit and it was removed from her account. Which made her credit go way down. Didn’t make much sense to me.

Do not use these ppl to help you. They are not that helpful, and do not advise you on how to resolve issues with your credit. They will just say they are working on things month after month. you might see one issue resolved, but if there are more issues, dont expect them to work with you to resolve them. they will just take your money month after month. Instead of paying this company, pay down any outstanding credit you might have with that money instead. It will probably go further than lexington law ever would.
