I Hired David and Mikkel to defend me on a battery charge, they almost cost me thousands of dollars that they told me i should offer in restitution for medical out of pocket charges that the alleged victim supposedly paid,without even checking to find out if they had even been paid by him (which they were not ) or the total of any payments. They just kept showing me an old hospital bill for almost $80,000 and kept telling me that it was the amount owed and talked me into offering to pay $20.000 and possibly more if need be to settle it.But it was refused (lucky for me) After consulting a friend that is an attorney and with his help and research he found out that only a couple thousand dollars was owed and it was the full amount of restitution owed instead of tens of thousands ( He did the work that I paid them to do and they seemed offended that I had consulted him). Also David a number of times when meeting at his office scolded and talked down to me like I was an idiot (Very Rude to say the least) when I asked them questions about checking into the medical expenses further and my options and possible outcome of my case. I paid them around $7500 (Lets just say that it wasn't money well spent ). I'm only glad that it didn't cost me tens of thousands more because of their inability to do what I hired them to do and most importantly obtain the correct totals on the medical bills paid, along with talking me into offering a huge amount of money (insisting that it was my best option) when the total owed was only a fraction of the money that they told me to offer and even less of a fraction of the money that they said was owed. I'm only posting this to warn others like me that are looking for the best legal help possible when searching for an attorney. I was mislead and made a bad choice when I hired this firm to represent me. Please dont let that happen to you and dont let the Super Lawyer pictures in their office fool you like they did to me. I was told that any attorney can pay to have that recognition.
