74 and had never had the need to hire a lawyer until August 20 2023. I was pulled over for suspicion of driving while impaired. I am a diabetic and had failed to monitor my blood sugar and I was having a hypoglycemic reaction along with a couple of drinks and was unaware of My actions for about 4 hours, and have no memory of being stopped by the cops, taken to jail, or eventually to Owatonna Hospitals ER. The nurses eventually got My blood sugar to a level where I became aware of my surroundings. Taken back to Steele Cty. jail where I spent the night. Eventually in December, for Christmas, I received the official charges from Steele County. 1 gross misdemeanor for refusal to submit to a breathalyzer, and 2 other misdemeanors. first zoom meeting was Feb. 17th with Steele Cty. Prosecutor. I had no idea how to find a Lawyer, and had procrastinated until about a week before the zoom. I googled DUI lawyer, and of course there are plenty to choose from. I scrolled down and came upon Lauren Campoli. So I took a chance and sent a message to her, not believing she would take my case. She responded quickly and we set up a time the next day to meet. I was nervous at first. She asked me to tell My story, and as we went along I became convinced I had made the correct choice. She was explaining to me what was happening and what She was going to do on a yellow legal pad. As we went through the charges, She would say, " we can take care of that." And eventually She did take care of it all. She was extremely knowledgeable of the Law and explained all in a way that I would understand. Not that I am stupid, but if You get charged with DUI, you are not the brightest bulb on the tree. I would give Her a five star rating without hesitation, and recommend her services to anyone. She is very personable, and easy to talk to, and will make you comfortable from the start. I did what She told me, did my homework, and let Her do the hard work.
