Hired in December of 2018. First mistake unbeknownst to us was that he didn’t review our case before agreeing to accept, then sat on it just up until the statute of limitations was about to expire months later. Handed us a template for our civil complaint, and had us fill in the blanks, as his knowledge of the case wasn’t as good as it should’ve been. In one particular motion that he filed, he copied and pasted my thoughts to him in an email and used that as the motion. I would call to give him new facts that would help us, and he’s cut me off saying “I don’t want that stuff right now, and no one knows your case better than you”. My desperation made me blind to the red flags. Ended up paying him an additional (almost twice the fee agreement) to motivate him to no avail. We’ve never had legal issues prior to this so we had no clue how this process worked. He missed several deadlines to file motions to strengthen our case (deadline to introduce expert witness) not out of lack of awareness, as we pleaded with him to do so well in advance. Judge ultimately ended up striking down said permission to file and gave reason of us having ample time do so and not taking action. In the end, our case was dismissed with one of the reasons being that he cited the wrong laws to apply to our case. He was hard to reach, unless the bill was due. His legal assistant was amazing though. Too bad she’s not the attorney. In his motion for summary judgement, he told the judge that this was not his area of expertise. We consulted another attorney afterwards to see if we could salvage our case in an appeal, but they said that McGraw really gave them nothing to work with in the case file. In consulting with attorneys prior to him, we knew their quality was better from their record in our type of case, but couldn’t afford them. You get what you pay for I guess. In hindsight, we should have terminated him and asked for a prorated refund.

Attorney was incinsiderate, late and rude. 15 min late for our meeting and would not meet with us with out us wearing masks. We could of set up a zoom call meeting if she had been up front about it when the meeting was made. We ended up walking out.

Spring 2016, Beau took over a dissolving case, told my sister he would represent me well and made it sound great, later, Beau said he read everything in the lawyers file, (which he had referred me to), then told me there was nothing he could do, (I said the father was drugging my son) that it [it appeared] "I was crying out for HELP", told me there was nothing he could do. Later, I DISCOVERED Beau had investigated my allegations, investigated me (mother) for drugs, while leaving my son being drugged by his dad, October 10, 2016 I was investigated, staged, drugged. Mid November 2016 my son either died, or ended up in the hospital, as his cousin said "I saw **** [my son] yesterday, Grandma won't tell me what happened" (sounds like a drug overdose), Beau further investigated, to see if I knew anything, Beau has since stopped communication, and denies all facts. Today, Beau has learned from his mistakes, is now pushing for "orders of protection", acting, rather than neglecting. I lost my child, don't lose yours.

Susan Olson is a very good mediator. In my experience from having her as the mediator for a number of my clients, she is always prepared, honest and fair to both parties. I may not always agree with her opinions, but she is usually very helpful in assisting parties in reaching a resolution.
