I first contacted Amanda in 2015 to help me draft a custody agreement. She was very helpful in understanding my needs and making sure the document addressed my concerns and then some. Since then, whenever I've had questions about family law, she has responded promptly with good advice, and her rates have been fair.

Amanda and Heimerl & Lammers made a scary & intimidating process seem approachable, and they acted with the utmost professionalism and transparency at every step of the way. I consulted with, and eventually hired, Amanda to handle my divorce. To me, my situation was very complicated and emotional, but Amanda gave the right touch of level-headed and professional advice to bring me back from the 'deep end.' I needed help fast in the summer of 2015. The incumbent attorney familiar with my case could not help me so I was without any help with two weeks to go before I had to be in court. Amanda and her staff filed all the motions and got everything ready on very short notice. I was very worried that I was not going to meet the court deadlines but Amanda made it happen. Family court is very stressful and Amanda walked me through all steps that needed to happen so that we could have the best chance at a good outcome. Amanda had a great deal of empathy for my issues. All the staff at her firm worked with me and were very helpful. I felt like I had a really good team on my side. Going through a divorce is never easy. The uncertainty of what are the next steps in your life, trying to close out a chapter and start the next one is already challenging enough. The last thing you want is a lawyer that will hassle you for what you got and make the paperwork with the court difficult. You want a lawyer that will understand what you are going through; you want Amanda on your side. I was very pleased during the entire process in working with Amanda. She took the time to explain every step of the divorce process and made me feel very confident. She was very attentive to answer all the inquiries I had throughout. I never felt pressured into anything…it was all done on my time, on my schedule. Amanda is very moral and ethical. My divorce was a bit difficult because my ex-wife was not fluent in English. In order for my ex-wife to sign the decree and for the court to review and sign the documents promptly, Amanda suggested that we translate certain documents to my ex-wife’s native language. Amanda was able to find the necessary resources and submit all the documentation to the court after they had been properly signed. Having transcribed these documents turned out to be an excellent move because it kept from delaying the time the court would take to sign the judgment decree. She was efficient with this move because the court would have probably rejected the documentation and/or requested for us to appear before a judge. Efficiency leads reduction in time and resources which ultimately leads to bottom line savings. If the opportunity came to hire Amanda for a different case, I would definitely hire her again. I felt very comfortable with the way she treated me and the way that things were settled with my ex-wife. Thank you Amanda!

Amanda and her staff were very professional in the case of an order for protection against me during marital seperation. My fear was having the order of protection as a permanent record against me and possibly hindering further issues if divorce and child custody became an issue. Amanda and her team of professionals were very informative, proactive, encouraging and constantly in contact with me regarding my case. End result was very gratifying as they were able to present my case and have the order for protection dismissed. Amanda did a great job handling my estate. She is very competent and professional and handled all of the details with great care.
