I’m so glad I found Phil Ruce and highly recommend him. I recently moved to the Twin Cities area from another state and needed an attorney to do a restatement of my current trust to conform to Minnesota law. I wanted a professional who: is very knowledgeable about trusts, (i.e. lots of trust experience, and whose practice is currently primarily trust work), who would be responsive and communicate timely with me, who would allow me to review the draft before expecting me to sign off on the finished product (apparently this is not a common practice here, which really surprised me), and who was willing to answer all my questions. Phil provided all these and more. He really listened, provided lots of good ideas, explained everything so well, and the final documents are well written and understandable. His process was efficient, professional and respectful of my time as well as his. It was great working with Philip! He explained everything very clearly, and even made what I generally think of as a boring topic quite interesting. Throughout the entire process, he made sure we fully understood everything we were doing, and stopped frequently to ask us if we had questions. In the end he provided us with a very carefully organized binder of information which spelled out everything we did. Plus, he was completely up front about the costs of various options we considered.
