I was referred to Barton C. Gernander by a friend, who is a lawyer and recommended him highly. I can't say enough good things about him. He responded to me in a very very quick manner and did his research and knew his stuff. I peppered him with initial questions about my issue and he responded quickly in a thoughtful manner, answering all my questions with thorough, understandable answers. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

Horrible experience. Was charge a flat retainer and told I would get most of that money back as all that needed to be done was sort our the divorce decree. No children nothing of complication. My case was pawned off on a para-legal even though my lawer and now the para-legal were billing me. My ex wife went to a different law firm and they took care of all the paperwork and court filings. This law firm still kept charging me for work another law firm was now doing. Paid even more then the retainer. Every time I would call the office everyone was out to lunch or not in the office. How do these people stay in business if they are never in or working!? 2 years later I am now getting bills in the mail saying I owe them more money after the fact. When I call the office, if any one answers they can not help or answer my questions and those that can are yet again out to lunch or not in the office. Would love a job where I can show up after 11am and bill people $125 per email. This office does nothing but scam people out of their money. Been on hold for 25 min waiting to talk to someone.
