I had spoken with another highly rated law firm before consulting with Cortney. This was like a night-and-day conversation, she had been extremely supportive and knowledgeable, doing everything possible to produce a favorable situation for me and my son. Cortney not only provided great suggestions for my circumstances but also made sure my son had the best possible outcome. The outcome ended with everything I hoped for from the beginning. Extremely grateful for her services and experience. She really does go above and beyond, and this is just what you want during such a difficult time in life. I would highly recommend Cortney to anyone looking for legal representation during a custody dispute/settlement!

Ms. Whitehouse represented me in my divorce proceedings and always provided excellent guidance and legal advice, in a calming and confident manner, through a very stressful and intimidating process. She educated me as we entered and worked our way through each phase and I always felt informed on what was occurring and why. She continually provided sound advice as I was faced with making difficult decisions. The process ended with a settlement that was more positive than I had initially hoped to receive and I remain thankful she represented me. Following my consultation I walked away confident about Cortney's knowledge in regards to divorce law. I was extremely happy with my choice to have her represent me. Cortney is very thorough and broke everything down so that it was easy to understand. She works very well with opposing attorneys, and has your best interest in mind from start to finish. Courtney was a rock during my collaborative divorce. Even when things got rocky with my ex-spouse, she remained calm. She was clearly an advocate for my interests and my son's.

I hired Cortney for divorce. Her initial consultation gave me complete confidence she would handle the process very well. She was very thorough in collecting and organizing all the necessary facts. She kept me informed of upcoming steps so I could prepare. The mediation process took only one session. Cortney managed the negotiation very well because she was totally prepared and represented my goals perfectly. She organized all the data so she could make immediate computations during mediation. The judgement was approved within two weeks after mediation.

I don't suppose anyone sees Ms. Whitehouse with a happy case, but she made my situation better by always lending a kind ear while I droned on, far too long for most people. Courtney represented me in my collaborative divorce. In spite of the name, it was a very contentious and drawn-out process. Every step of the way, Cortney was thorough, professional and attentive to my needs. She did an outstanding job. I was referred to her by the Collaborative Law Institute of Minnesota. I am not giving 5 stars only because the collaborative process was so expensive, involving many hours of billed time, not only from lawyers but also from the financial advisor, the mediator and the psychologist (child advocate). Cortney's opinion is that time and money spent on the collaborative process up front reduces time going back to court post-decree. We shall see.
