I am shocked at the unprofessionalism of the desk staff and her unwillingness to even forward my information on to an attorney... I just fired my last attorney and am meeting with another this week who agreed to take my case; I just thought I’d give them a try as well because I’m right here in Minnetonka.
I have Hidradenitis Suppurativa, Stage 3; which I self-administer Humira injections for, take daily antibiotics and Spiralactone, get injections for etc. My condition is so disabling and so hideous that it is in fact listed in the Social Security Blue Book (and the last examiner even said I met the listing), as it is recognized as causing more loss of life quality than psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, or any other known dermatologic condition. Still, the receptionist said the attorney would not even bother to address it, since it’s a “smaller diagnosis”, and that the only “real problem” I have are the herniated discs in my lower back that I get injections for and in my neck that contribute to Carpal Tunnel, which was also found on EMG. It’s true that these conditions are severe; in fact, my orthopedic and pain clinic doctors are looking at doing cervical spine fusion surgery soon, but my skin condition is definitely NOT a “small diagnosis.”
I also have to get weekly bladder infusions via catheter for interstitial cystitis; which while not having a listing itself, can equal to one due to severity (pain, severe incontinency - I have to use pads for leakage and wet myself often, etc) Still, she said they also wouldn’t address this, and told me that my Asperger’s (high-functioning Autism), ADHD, Anxiety, PTSD, Major Depressive Disorder and Adjustment Disorder made no difference on my case, because I’m “just too young for it to matter.”
I guess if you’re 32-years-old, it doesn’t matter that you can’t even lift your arm to brush your hair because the giant weeping boil under your breast is so painful when it rubs with movement, or that the last 4/5 jobs have fired you since 2016 because you’re just too sick or too moody or ask for too many accommodations to work...
I have every RFC form imaginable and see doctors weekly, unfortunately. The Humira isn’t working and we are starting a new trial and now looking at spinal surgery. I also nearly avoided mental impatient hospitalization several times, remembering that I am severely immunocompromised. I do also have the Head of Psychiatry at the U of M who supports my case and wrote a personalized letter as well as the pain clinic physician AND HEAD of ObGyn/Urology at my clinic - NOT just statements - but I guess it doesn’t matter to Fields. They only care about you if you’re over 45-years-old. This should be discrimination, in my opinion. Thank you.

I injured my arm on duty as an FA. Although my company approved my OJI the worker’s comp wasn’t as understanding and I felt pressured to return to a career that I loved prematurely. I felt that my case was handled unfairly and decided to sue. I was referred to Field’s Law Firm by a friend who highly recommended Joe and his team . I’m so glad that I met with Joe and had him handle my case! From the moment I walked into Field’s I felt very comfortable and encouraged. Even though my case seemed to be a long shot Joe and his team handled it with respect, professionalism, and consistent support throughout the process. I never felt left out of the process even the smallest detail either Joe or Sarai kept me in the loop at all times. I never imagined that would get anything but this team worked diligently and was able to secure a settlement for me. I want to personally thank and recommend Joe and his team to anyone seeking legal council. They are fantastic. I hope to never go through an injury again but if I do Joe and Field’s Law Firm will be my 1st choice!!

18 months to settle with my work insurance company, what a pain! But Zach at fields made life easy and was so helpful throughout the process. Not sure I could have gotten anything done alone and probably would have been screwed over after my work injury. Very happy I chose to go to fields law firm and get it done right. Go to Zach if you need help with a work injury!!! 5/5
