Pros
1
Excellent legal expertise and commitment to clients
“Chuck Ramsey along with Kimberly Rodrigue and associates at Ramsey Results can be best described in one word... MAGNIFICENT! Professional and courteous straight away and bearing a genuine care for their clients.”
2
Knowledgeable, articulate, and steadfast in defending clients' rights
“Charles "Chuck" Ramsey is a lawyers' lawyer: knowledgeable, articulate and steadfast in his commitment to defending the rights of his clients.”
3
Responsive and transparent communication throughout the process
“Throughout the proceedings, communication was prompt and transparent. I was kept informed of all developments, and any concerns or questions I had were addressed promptly.”
4
Personalized and empathetic approach, going above and beyond
“Beyond his legal expertise, Chuck exhibited genuine empathy and understanding. He recognized the impact that the charges had on my life and his support extended beyond the confines of the courtroom.”
5
Impressive track record of successful outcomes
“Over my brief period of time having Ramsey law firm represent me in court, I would have to say that they were quite impressive. Most people like me think that once they get charged with a dui they are basically screwed. However due to not only the Supreme Court, but also mr. koewler and Ramsey law firms attentiveness to my case, helped get the charges dropped and get my life back on track.”
Cons
1
Unprofessional and rude administrative staff
“I tried calling to get information for my grandma that lives in the area and who ever picked up the phone was THE RUDEST person I've ever spoken with in my LIFE.”
2
Failure to appear at scheduled court hearings
“In one instance he never even showed up to the court hearing and I was left with no alternative to remove him from counsel and get a PD just to be represented that day.”
3
Delayed refund and lack of transparency
“Chuck Ramsey refuses to give me a 7000 $ refund and I want to help everyone avoid my disaster of a case. He continues to just spin me in circles. His website says he's open 24/7 but when you go to the office nobody's ever there it's bone dry his they act like $7000 is not a lot of money at all like I can just wait forever.”

Denise was one of the most helpful people when it came to my accident. The Insurance companies were pushing to get things settled as soon as possible. Between her knowledge and the needed information, I received a better settlement than I thought possible. Denise is highly knowledgeable about what has to be done and the time frame. THANK YOU so much, Denise, for everything!

I took the advice of a friend to meet with Denise Fullerton at Fullerton Law. I was immediately impressed with her knowledge of the process, what to expect from the insurance companies, and how she could support me in receiving the care that I needed for some of the lasting effects from a car accident. And she was there every step of the way. Denise was prompt at answering our questions. When the insurance companies challenged some treatment and medical device expenses, Denice was an incredible advocate and fierce defender on my behalf. It is clear that without her expertise I would have been stuck with an impossible heap of medical bills. Thanks to Denise we avoided that crisis entirely. I will always be grateful for her tireless effort, and most certainly will recommend her to anyone needing an excellent lawyer.

John was very professional. He explained the process thoroughly and responded to my inquiries in a timely fashion. He has a great sense of humor which helped ease the process. His costs are not outrageous like some lawyers are as well! I’m very happy with my results and more happy that I’m divorced.

My case was a little different being that myself and my soon to be X had most items in our settlement already negotiated (we were planning on filing ourselves). Mr Guzik made sure that the spirit of this agreement was protected. If I had not had him represent me I would have left myself open to future problems beyond what I have agreed to today. Mr. Guzik's staff is very personable and professional and Brian (sorry Brian I did not catch your last name - my apologies) was sure to make sure any questions or contact that I needed with Mr. Guzik was handled appropriately and in a very timely fashion. This is a top notch operation.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Roseville, Minnesota?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
