After recently began developing mental health issues due to Chronic Lyme Disease spreading to my brain over the past 6 months my parents and I decided it was best to get a Power of Attorney established in case my symptoms worsen. Between my current health situation as well as the COVID pandemic in full swing at the time of this review, and after consulting with Safe Harbor Estate Law PLLC, we decided getting a POA in place was a wise thing to do. From there, we also decided it was a good time to get my Will established. Whether you have preexisting health conditions making you high risk for contracting the COVID virus, or just for the sake of peace of mind, during these uncertain times these are two legal documents that are more important to have in place than ever before. Even if you are a healthy 20+yr old I feel like getting a POA set up is very wise action to take especially in today's current climate given all of the existing uncertainties as well as not knowing what may develop in the near future. After researching and consulting with other Estate Planning Firms I felt like Safe Harbor Estate Law PLLC was the best option. Margaret, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable, honest, patient, and helpful. I also worked with some of her staff, Megan and Allison, who I felt like Margaret passed down her excellent traits allowing them to serve clients with the same expertise as Margaret provides. My experience with Safe Harbor Estate Law PLLC could not have been better. They patiently talked me through all necessary documents and gave great advice on matters I was uncertain about. When completed they give me very well organized packets/folders containing the legal documents which made it very easy to pass onto my family members who I choose to include in both the POA and Will. As daunting as some of these legal documents can be, the staff put me at ease and made the entire process as easy as possible. Friendly staff, thorough, and easy to navigate estate planning process. We were on the fence as to whether or not we should try to create our estate planning documents using an online tool or other lower cost option, but I’m glad we went with Safe Harbor instead. It did cost more, but the piece of mind in knowing that everything is correct was worth it. As parents with young children, I would highly recommend both taking this step to make sure you have plans in place, as well as working with this team. If you, your parents even your grandparents are getting in the 70 bracket. Well it doesn't matter how old you are or not. Call Safe Harbor Estate Law. Make an appointment and ask questions. The more you know now the better off you will be. My Mom and I were trying to get the house and lots of other important things figured out. But, my mom took a turn in the wrong direction. My sister and I lost our Mom in November. Thanks to Margaret and her amazing team. There are helping me get thing figured out.

I contacted and researched many lawyers for Estate Planning. My Mom just needed her POA and Trust updated from Florida to Minnesota. I was very impressed with Safe Harbors website and when I contacted them I talked to Megan who was very helpful and very welcoming. We chose them and it was a great choice.
