Susan Thurston is a top rate divorce attorney! She was instrumental in getting me through a very difficult divorce. She is extremely thorough and very detail orientated. Susan was instrumental in laying out a course of action that left no mysteries and led to a fair and equitable divorce settlement. She also has a natural ability to be compassionate and was instrumental in helping me feel more at ease through this most difficult time. Susan is well versed in all aspects of Minnesota divorce law and has excellent resources to draw from to arrive at the best possible divorce solution. I was very fortunate to have found her.

I can't say enough positive things about Susan as a divorce lawyer. She has experienced divorce herself and is well aware of and able to help with the emotional ramifacations as well. She comes across as professional and businesslike and, I think that may be all some of her clients see. But if you need her to turn into a therapist-she will at the drop of a dime! She is comfortable in the court setting and prepares her clients for what to expect. Whenever I was nervous about any upcoming events such as hearings or mediation I finally realized I didn't need to worry! I just had to show up- afterall, I had Susan on my side! She is very in tuned to her clients and keeps them well informed of the timeline of events. She has no problem going up against other tough or intimidating lawyers and she has no problem dealing with difficult soon to be ex'es! I would highly recommend her to any women in need of a strong, knowledgeable and compassionate divorce lawyer.

Susan, as I found out later was going through her own personal problems at the time of my divorce and she should have ethically removed herself from my case as she was not in the game. She would ask that my ex's attorney do all the work writing the decree, and then missed important details that were discussed and agreed upon in mediation. She was too soft in her approach, she was no match when up against a strong attorney. When you hire an attorney, that person should be fighting for you and your financial future. This attorney did not do that!
