I hired Mr. Schiks to represent our son for two misdemeanor traffic charges. Mr. Schiks was professional, honest and thorough with the handling of our son's case. The outcome was positive and we could not be more pleased. Words cannot convey the heartfelt gratitude we have for this man. If you are reading this review because you are seeking legal counsel, Mr. Schiks will not disappoint you. After calling various attorneys around the area, he was the only one that actually spoke to me (vs. an assistant) and also took nearly a half an hour on the phone to discuss with me the entire situation. Kevin Devore is more than a lawyer; he's a supportive ally who encouraged me to stay strong when I was feeling the pressure of my legal situation. He urged me to call him at any time with questions or concerns, and replied to emails promptly. We once spoke by phone for nearly 25 minutes. He's a great, non-judgmental listener, and nearly doubles as a therapist! He also gave me the impression that he really knows his stuff, legally speaking. Justin's work is thorough, aggressive, relatable, and calming. In working with JS Defense you get the services that you want and there is also getting what is needed. Justin was incredibly courteous and professional. He made sure we understood everything that was happening and was always reachable for questions and concerns. He listened to everything I had to say about my case. He put in a ton of time and effort getting the prosecutor to cough up evidence and admit that my case wasn't just a traffic stop.
