Philip Hearn has always helped my family. We trust his word, integrity, knowledge, commitment and above all, we trust him. I would not hesitate to encourage anyone needing help to contact Mr. Hearn. He puts his heart into his cases, and puts you at ease. That to me is the most important factor, being at ease and never having to wonder what's going on. I deeply regret hiring Jackson, MS attorney, Philip C. Hearn, “Esq.” to defend me against a simple disturbance of the peace charge. He charged me $4,000, to be paid before he would even meet with me. That meeting never happened. The “free consultation” he advertises turned out to be a meeting with a paralegal in his office. Hearn was not even there that day. I foolishly and reluctantly agreed to pay the $4,000 and believe it or not, to this day, I have never met Philip Hearn. The case dragged on for almost a year, due to delays by Mr. Hearn, to handle more lucrative cases, in my opinion. I never signed a contract or any other documents, especially one stating that Mr. Hearn would NOT be going to court with me, but instead would send a young associate, Cass Cole. Mr. Cole, in my opinion, was extremely timid, nonchalant and ineffective. He gave me terrible advice at my trial and I ended up paying almost another $1,000 to the court. I was extremely disappointed in my “representation” by Philip Hearn and Cass Cole. I would recommend neither. Shortly before my twice-delayed court date, Mar. 30, 2023, Mr. Hearn called me and stated that his daughter was having surgery and that he would be unable to attend my trial, but that he would be sending Cass Cole in his stead. I wished his daughter well, and reluctantly went to a disastrous court session with Cass Cole. When I left court that day, quite dejectedly, I happened to look at Philip Hearn’s Facebook page and saw that he and his family were currently attending a Memphis Grizzlies game and staying in a skybox that day. (I have the dated screen shots depicting the 6 Hearns -including his (allegedly) sick daughter—at the Fed Ex Forum in Memphis). I felt completely abandoned at this point . After my wife and I wrote a factual review of the Hearn Law Firm, Mr. Hearn threatened me with a lawsuit against both my wife and me if I did not remove it within 48 hours. My wife and I were under extreme emotional distress for almost a year, due to Mr. Hearn’s lack of concern, and my wife was involved from day one. Mr. Hearn seemed to be angered by the fact that my wife was involved on my behalf. I strongly believe that I could have handled this issue far better, timelier and definitely less expensively by myself. I complained to the MS Bar Association and not surprisingly, Mr. Hearn’s cronies sided with him (as I felt sure that they would), so my complaint is now being reviewed by the American Bar Association, where fewer people know Philip Hearn personally. I have documentation to prove every statement I have made here, and also some other interesting facts that I have learned on the internet. I’m prepared, in case I receive another threatening response from Philip C. Hearn, “Esquire”. (Mr. Hearn also has offices in Blue Mountain, New Albany, Port Gibson, MS and Atlanta, GA.)

I contacted Mr. Hearn to look into a case for me. As he requested, I sent him information regarding the matter via email. Months went by and I did not hear from him. I contacted him again on a Friday to ask whether he looked into the case. He requested I email the same information to him again so it will be one of the first emails he sees on Monday morning. I emailed the information on Monday morning to make sure he would see it. Unfortunately, I still did not get a response from him. I called him again that same week. He told me he has over 300 emails that he has to sort through daily. Clearly, he had not reviewed the file I sent to him. I informed him that he only needed to do a search for my name or email address to access the email containing the information he requested for the second time. I believe he felt cornered and did not know exactly how to respond. Although I knew not to expect anymore than what he had already offered, he knowingly lied when he said he would contact me the following Monday to let me know the status of a case which he clearly had not reviewed. Keeping course of his pattern, he did not contact me on Monday as he said he would. Apparently, he did not intend to. As the Mississippi Bar Association or the Office of Lawyer Regulations would see it... although his actions were unprofessional, they are also petty in respect to violations of any rules. Therefore, I saw no need to report him. I suggest to anyone who is searching for a "good" lawyer to be fully aware of phony reviews.

Had a problem with a title company on the sale of my property. They wanted an affidavit of heirship from the original owner & it became a nightmare. I tried everything & was at the end of my rope. Called Philip & 2 days later the money from the sale was in my account!! Top notch lawyer & a person who truly cares about helping you!!!!

Philip Hearns did an unbelievable job on my case. He did exactly what he said he would do which was get both of my charges dropped. If I ever need legal help in Mississippi he would be my first call hands down.

Phillip Hearn is a fraud and a liar. Do not take any paperwork to him and leave it so he can look over it to see if he wants to take your case because you won’t ever get it back. He lies and says he can’t find it. I sent him a message still have it telling him to mail my paperwork he says will do never did and says now I never left it. So I pray he can live with himself and I pray that God will deal with Phillip Hearn!! He is a joke of a human. I don’t even give him a star but they said I had to he is worthless

Called for a issue that I was having regarding an police impound lot holding my car for 3 days and wouldn’t release it. Attorney Hearn went above and beyond and informed the impound lot owner of the law and had my car released within five minutes. If you need a go getter attorney that’s highly knowledgeable of the law with yeas of experience this is your guy.. A+++++

Philip responded to my question very quickly. He also provided me with his cell phone number and offered to assist me at anytime. I have tried to contact other lawyers prior to using Avvo who have asked me to fill out specific forms to only be provided with a response within 3-5 days. I will definitely be using his services from here forward!

About a year ago, I was looking for a lawyer who would represent me in my case. This case was suggested to only be a few short months, only to find it was going the distance with obstacles. I found Philip C. Hearn, and he took my case head-on. Many other lawyers would have told me that they have done everything they could, then leave me in the dust. Not this lawyer, he pushed with my case until it was completed. If anyone is looking for a lawyer who doesn't quit, this is him.
