He was straight up and didn't lead me wrong in my divorce. Thompson understood the details of the case after our first meeting and did all he could to make sure I was treated fairly. Kinda nice for an attorney and was easy to talk to.

Mr. Thompson assisted me with a child custody case when the mother was trying to take our son out of the country. Mr. Thompson was not only knowledgeable about local custody laws but international concerns as well. I felt as though he was a solid "A" in the courtroom and his questioning was well on point. He achieved the desired results and was realistic in expectations. I want to stress "Realistic" because most attorneys I have had dealings with were not, they typically over-promise and under-deliver. Would and will recommend.

I hired Mr. Thompson after being referred to him by a friend. At first, everything was humming along smoothly, but after my initial visit getting in contact became more and more difficult. When negotiating the terms for settlement with my ex-wife it seems like his main concern was getting it over with so he could leave rather than seek what was in my best interest. I also never received an itemized bill for his services and was never sure what I owed him. His impatient demeanor and attitude was disappointing. I ended up following his advice and agreeing to a settlement that wasn't worth while. Afterwards he never sent any finalized paperwork. I ended having to get it from my ex wife. The entire experience was unprofessional. I would not recommend his services to anyone.

I hired Matthew after reading many reviews. At our first meeting he laid out a very clear and direct approach to finilize my divorce. We then talked payment and settled on an amount which I paid in full that afternoon. He told me he would be moving that week on seeking seperated maintainable against my wife and custody for my son. 1 1/2 years later and nothing had been done. After many phone calls and meetings with no movement forward and no reason given for the delay I was forced to fire him and seek other council. I was mailed an itimized bill for almost double what I had paid even thou our agreement was payment specific for service which I never received. 97% of the bill was for his time answer emails, text, or for phone with me or for his assistant taking messages for him. I am very confused at why someone with his reviews as a caring person acted this way.

Matthew Thompson is the best attorney that I have ever had represent me. He was well organized and wasn’t afraid to stick up for my rights. Matthew went to bat for me numerous times with the judge and stood up to the opposing counsel many times. I am completely satisfied with how he represented me. If anything else comes up regarding family law, Matthew will be my choice for representation, hands down. This is my second divorce and wish I would have had his expertise during my first one. There's not any bad things that i can say about Matthew, he's honest, friendly, kind, and most of all hard working. He was always there for me, always giving me friendly advice. There's not many lawyers out there that care about people like Matthew does. In my quest to find a lawyer, just about everyone of them were telling me to just agree to what the childs mother wanted which was excessive. When I found Matthew and explained to him what she was wanting, he advised against it. Not only do I get to see my child, but I got 1,3,5 weekends which I was only expecting everyother weekend. Each time we would go to court he would be very knowledgable and tell me what the likely outcomes would be for that day and was always right. I really expected the worst and came out on top. Matthew is great at family law and I will not ever choose anyone else. If you choose Matthew, you will not go wrong, he will fight for you, be there till the end and even follow up with you afterwards.
