I hired Jay to defend my son for minor in possession and false ID charges. He’s extremely knowledgeable and well respected in Oxford. It’s tough knowing who to work with when you’re from out of state, but I was impressed with him and his legal assistant. We appreciated the open lines of communication and we would definitely recommend Jay. Don’t try to go at it alone in Oxford/Lafayette County.

Jay answered our call while on vacation and between him and his assistant we had all the information we needed to proceed within 24 hours after the incident and initial call.
Jay clearly explained his role and what we needed to do on our end and as of today everything has been successfully handled in less than 4 weeks! 2 charges dropped and completely expunged from my son’s record. We are extremely happy with the service we received and would not hesitate to hire Jay Carmean should we need his services again, which I hope we will not!
