After my divorce, I felt that I needed to address estate planning. I called Vouga Elder Law and could not be happier with their guidance. Everyone in the office is pleasant and helpful. I emailed for help late one night and was so thrilled to get a phone call early the next morning. Rick got right to the matter, asking questions in simple language, which itself provided the insight and direction I needed for taking next steps. I'll be working with him further as we enter the new territory of using health and property powers of attorney for my 97 year old parent with increasing dementia. It's a tremendous relief to have Rick Vouga's legal expertise in elder law on our side.

Rick was kind enough to make time to discuss a very time sensitive issue by scheduling a conference call with 24hours of contacting him. I had a meeting scheduled with a health care provider later in the day of our teleconference and not only was a prepped for that meeting after our call, rick called me back twice afterwards to provide useful information to be better prepared for the meeting. Additionally he faxed pertinent legal decision information for me to read. Rick was responsive, helpful and thorough. I couldn't have asked for a better resource or even friend to help me like that. I would highly recommend Rick moving forward. As a matter of fact, I'll be meeting with him next week to get more assistance. Where I was pessimistic and unaware of what could be done I'm now hopeful that Rick will help me work out a much more agreeable outcome.

We had (have) a great relationship with Vouga law. Rick and Dana were very professional and treated my 94-year-old father with the utmost respect. They prepared a VA trust for him and submitted the necessary documents to apply for VA aid and attendance benefits. The VA benefits came through in about 3-4 months and they walked us through each and every step. They answered all questions, returned all calls and requests in a timely fashion. I'd like to say they treated us like family, but my family does not always treat each other with the care and help that the Vouga team exhibited with all of us.

Each time a meeting was planned, someone was ill or injured and he asked to reschedule for a later date. The one time I couldn't reschedule, he was unprepared and didn't know which documents he had already collected from us. I asked in person and in writing for an itemization of costs on his services. He did not respond with one until I threatened to go to the bar with a complaint. The itemization was sent to an old address, which delayed its receipt.
