Igers Ivangelli just took my money. I got very little in return. Run away from this "law firm." Cordell and Cordell preys on men at a very vulnerable time in their lives. Hire Leslie Williams from Blue Springs, MO instead.

I scheduled an appointment and had a consultation with a female attorney who reviewed my case and said verbatim " you are the abuser and she is the abused, she may come back she may not. Extremely hurtful to hear feom an attorney when I havent even been convicted of anything . I called to discuss the matter and no one wanted to help me.

I give three stars in the form name alone

I've used Cordell & Cordell for a few matters over the last couple years. Most recently, I had a change in employment that allowed me more time with my children but resulted in a reduction of income and necessitated a recalculation of child support. When communicating with my attorney about negotiating the amount of child support and how my circumstances necessitated lowering the amount, my attorney emailed me back that I could have made more money working in an Amazon warehouse. I have never been so insulted, and the fact that I was paying them thousands of dollars for minimal results added insult to injury. I will not be going back. I'm giving two stars because they did the bare minimum of resolving my matter, albeit at great expense and a with shot at my career choice.

Mr. Backer made significant promises and delivered on absolutely zero of those promises. In the end I spent near 25k for the exact same results I would’ve received had I represented myself. He’s an absolute waste of money and time. During the time of his consult he touted his years of experience and assurance that I would come out on top in my custody battle. I would absolutely implore ANYONE to find a better lawyer. Update: As you can see Cordell & Cordell reached out to see if they could “make right” on the review I left. In the end they did absolutely nothing. What this firm does that my most recent attorney did not do is they will charge you a retainer, then bill you on top of the retainer instead of exhausting the retainer funds. In my last month of having William F. Backer as my attorney, they billed me $1000 as a retainer, then billed me an additional 1 hour from the paralegal and 1 hour from the attorney to write me letters stating that I fired them, no actual attorney work was being done. When I presented this so the “client care specialist Melissa”, she replied back with they stood by their practices and offered no return of any of the $25,000 I spent. I have said it once and I will say it again, absolutely do not hire Cordell and Cordell unless you want your money thrown away. When I went to my custody trial the entire court room gasped at the amount I spent with Willam Backer and Cordell & Cordell, my ex wife’s attorney reached out to my current attorney and was floored by the amount that I spent with this firm for so little that they did. He never made 1 settlement agreement, couldn’t get us to litigation and just dragged the process on for months and months. Please don’t keep giving them business, they’re the epitome of crooked lawyers.

Kelli was my attorney in my divorce. She is always prepared and will make sure you are as well. She is hard nosed and will fight very hard to protect and help her clients. She is also a caring person and will be there to help you throughout whatever process you must go through. Thanks Kelli!

I had a very difficult custody case and Kelli exceeded every expectation I had. I am naturally a worrier.
