On September 13, 2016, our lives changed forever. My husband, Jajuan, was in a horrific car accident. He was hit head on by a young distracted driver on a two-lane highway. The driver did not suffer from one single injury, while my husband sustained significant damages to both his body and his vehicle. His arm was nearly severed off, hanging on by a few muscles and tendons. His face was slashed open, crushing the bones in the left side of his face. His knees and legs had minor scrapes and bruises miraculously. Jajuan’s truck was a total loss. It was a miracle he didn’t sustain any life-threatening injuries by the looks of his vehicle.
