In December 2012 I had a frightening encounter with my next door neighbor, and I was very concerned both about erroneous claims made by the neighbor regarding the property boundary as well as multiple unwarranted and truculent actions that my neighbor has directed toward me for the past several years. I was quite fortunate to make contact with Mr. Westerhaus. He was a very astute listener during our initial consultation, and was very compassionate and concerned, and did agree to draft a demand letter addressing the boundary dispute and my neighbor's actions toward me. He was very straightforward about what could and could not be accomplished with such a letter. Mr. Westerhaus examined all the extensive documentation I provided to him, preformed in depth online research concerning the property information and reviewed all applicable state laws, answered all my questions about the law as it related to my situation, and made any changes to details as I requested to make the document absolutely accurate. The final draft was well written in very straightforward easily understandable language, and was authoritative and firm but not aggressive or intimidating, effectively addressing both the boundary dispute and the most egregious incidents. The letter clearly stressed my desire to live peacefully as neighbors yet leaving future legal options open for me as the situation warrants. I would very highly recommend Mr. Westerhaus to anyone who needs the service of a very compassionate, knowledgeable and detail oriented attorney. His fees were very affordable and reasonable for the excellent quality he provided me in this limited service rendered. I have no doubt that any litigation that he would be retained to perform would meet the same high standard.
