Mr. Nevada Smith did an outstanding job representing my children. He took the time to learn the details surrounding the custody battle for my children and did what was right for the kids to keep them physically and emotionally safe. My child enjoyed speaking to Mr. Smith and felt comforted having him in his corner. If you live in St. Charles County and want the very best Guardian Ad Litem for your children, Mr. Nevada Smith is the right attorney for the job.

Nevada Smith was great during my awful custody battle. There were times I was worried I wouldn't be able to keep my son. I would recommend Nevada Smith to anyone. Nevada Smith is the best in Saint Charles County!!!!

Nevada Smith served as the GAL (guardian ad litem) for my never-ending custody case and did an outstanding job. First and foremost, Nevada places the children that he's appointed and entrusted to serve (and protect) at the forefront of any decision he makes. Nevada has the wisdom and clarity to separate fact from fiction in contentious and emotional custody battles. I would highly recommend Nevada Smith as an attorney for any issues related to family law.

For all the dad's out there who feel like they don't have a great chance at winning a custody case I'd suggest Mr. Smith. He provided me with his honest assessment of my case and made me no promises. I'm the kind of person who would rather have honesty than pay a lawyer to blow smoke and take money. From what I saw through my case is he covers every step needed and kept me in the loop for all of it. I've always done the best I can to be a father and am grateful for Mr. Smith help in solidifying my case with the courts. I not only would recommend him to my friends or family who was looking for a lawyer but wanted to put a review on here for other fathers who are looking for a solid attorney.

I was on a sinking ship, working with Cordell and Cordell for almost 9 months at an extreme cost, I was finally divorced, by default, only to have my ex find a dead beat lawyer that just wanted money, to get the case re-opened and hit me with emergency child support and her lawyer fees. She was on prescription pills and alcohol and I couldn't do anything about it....thanks to Cordell and Cordell, I was also out $26,000 for a default judgment with nothing but more bills coming. Then I lucked upon Nevada Smith and his firm. Wow, it was like winning the lawyer lottery. Nevada and his team took me in and took care of me and my children. Within a couple months he had already righted the ship and finally I felt like I was listened to about the concerns I had for my children. Typically the fathers that care don't get a chance, in my opinion, to take care of their children when the mother clearly chooses a bad path. Nevada listened and fought for my children, to put them in the best possible situation. He worked hard for me and ensured he kept the cost down, extremely reasonable....I wish I found him out of the gate with this whole ordeal my kids and I experienced. I highly recommend Nevada and his team for any of the dads out there that care and know what's best for their children. I promise working with him will change you view of lawyers and you will know that some lawyers actually do care about you and your situation...not what they can charge you to put you in a worse situation.

I was referred to Nevada as a family law attorney that was reasonable, but really good. As my case unfolded over the past 4 years, he has proven this time and time again. I could not have been placed in better hands. When I walked into Nevada's office for the first time I was paralyzed with fear that I would not be able to protect my son. He never once made me any promises, but he did listen to my story and gave me hope. Thoughout the years my case took to litigate, he was the steady and assertive hand guiding every step of the way. He was the calm in the storm that was my life. By the time my trial arrived, I realized he was more than just really good. Yes, he was organized and prepared. It wasn't that. It was every little comment and email that I thought to myself there is no way he will ever remember all of this. How could he possibly remember 4 years of me calling every week sometimes numerous times a week or even a day? But he did, all of it!! I watched in awe as he went into this zone where he was able to weave together my story and the evidence with his knowledge of the law and his intention to serve his clients to the best of his ability. I was able to see greatness as he is someone who has truly become a master of his craft. When I walked out of the court room, I knew it did not matter what the judge ultimately decided. I knew Nevada did everything within his power to advocate for me and my son. If you are lucky enough to hire Nevada, please be assured...he is listening...he is doing his homework...he is fighting for you.

Nevada Smith was the court appointed GAL for my son. After fighting for almost 15 years, Nevada was the first GAL that took time to listen. He met with all parties involved, reviewed my son's school records, talked to my son's therapist, and was prompt with returning calls. He looked at both sides and made his recommendation, which the court agreed with. I am very thankful that Nevada Smith was the GAL appointed to our case.

Nevada and his team of professionals were efficient and communicated with me on a regular basis regarding the status of my case. They were great!!! I highly recommend retaining their services for situations in fields of their expertise.

If I could give zero stars I would. Nevada was the GAL in my case, and had a clear favorite from the beginning. He failed to talk to my son's school and doctors. He ignored mine and my sons dozens of phone calls to his office. If me or my son wanted to talk to him we had to show up at his office. He failed to look out for my son's best interest. A GAL is suppose to be the attorney of the child, instead he was more like co-counsel for my ex. Nevada didn't do his job. I do not reccomend this attorney!!

I am writing to recommend Nevada Smith, for anyone in need of a family law attorney. Nevada recently handled my divorce and his fees were fair and competitive. He was easy to talk with, professional, responsive, and knowledgeable about all aspects of family law. I highly recommend Nevada.

My case was straight forward with no complications so it was a walk in the park from a legal advice perspective. I worked with Monica and she was alright- knows her stuff. She has a tendency to be perceived as a little "cold" but don't let that throw you off. Her communication (email, phone etc) is good. She'll make sure to get back in touch. The location is good- with plenty of parking. The pricing is ever so slightly on the higher side but I suppose its on a case by case basis. With that said, i would recommend Smith Law Office
