Antwaun was quick and did a great job of answering my question. He was thorough and knowledgeable on Missouri contract law as it related to W2 versus Independent Contractors.

In October of 2013, I was in a car accident. It was not my fault, the lady turned left into on coming traffic on a yield light. I first hired Corbett Law Firm. After many struggles with them and fighting them to do anything for 2 years, I found out that I was going to trial. I was scared at this point since after I found out I was taking my case to trial that there was a slim chance of me winning it. So finally fed up with all the running around I had to fire Corbett Law Firm. I called almost every lawyer in Springfield, MO and no one would take my case since it had already been taken to trial. I almost gave up until I saw Antwaun Smith on Avvo. I figured why not give him a try what would it hurt. Antwaun agreed to have a consultation with me just to at least hear me out and see what he could do for me. I brought my girlfriend with me for additional support to the meeting. Antwaun settled my case and even fought a little with the other parties insurance and in less than 2 months I had my settlement check. Antwaun saved my family from being evicted. He was able to get me my check just before christmas. I was able to give my 10 year old presents. Which was great because our main source of income was no more. It was such a relief that I forgot to tell him “Thank You” and that I received the check. I forgot to tell the one man who finally helped for little to no cost when everyone else told me no. Honestly, I don't know if there is anything out there that I could do to show him how much I appreciate his work, help and understanding. He kept me so much in the loop he would even forward me emails between him and the adjuster. Even if the email was just simply stating “Hey just checking on progress". The work he did is so great that whatever I do to repay him for his work would never be enough. If I ever need help ever again or any of my friends need help, I will forever keep Antwaun Smith as my lawyer. I DON'T TRUST ANYONE ELSE but him. Even if I had a case that he wouldn't handle I wouldn't fill right about hiring the other lawyer without going to Antwauns suggestions first. Let me just say this, no amount of words could describe how much he saved my family and me. What he did for us... I wish everyone could know about it. If I had it my way I would get him all over the news and then some bragging about the job he did. HE DESERVES TO BE THE BEST LAWYER IN SPRINGFIELD,MISSOURI. He might see the work he did as something small. But it wasn't, what he did makes me at a loss for words. Antwaun was very up front and honest with me about my case and the possible outcomes. He was not just trying to make a buck. He went above and beyond, even as far as sending me newspaper articles and research papers that dealt with the facts of my case.
