Extremely rude and unprofessional customer service representatives, with several reviewers mentioning employees like Tracy, Phyllis, and Jason as being particularly problematic

Aggressive and harassing collection tactics, including making threats, refusing to listen to customers, and hanging up on them
“Brandon Davis called me making threats and violating FDCPA guidelines. Shady company with out of date collection tactics.”
3
Questionable and potentially fraudulent business practices, with some reviewers claiming the company attempts to collect on invalid or non-existent debts
“This company is trying to get a hold of my dead mother of 2 years with a phone number I have only had for a couple months.”
4
Difficulty in resolving issues or getting information from the company, with many reviewers stating their calls and messages were ignored or met with hostility
“Don't waste your time speaking with this company. You won't get any where right or wrong. Just dispute if you need to with the credit bureau and save your headache.”
5
Overall poor customer service and lack of professionalism, with reviewers describing the company as a "scam", "dumpster fire", and "the worst company" they've ever dealt with
“If I could give a ZERO I would. I have NEVER in my life been so disrespected by someone who claims to be a 'professional'.”

Roger’s advice and guidance were pitch-perfect. I am glad I reached out, and I got everything I could have hoped for when hiring him. Moreover, Roger was very generous with availability and accessibility through-out my moment of high stakes, jostling for my clients. His advice and assistance in fine-tuning my negotiations with precision towards the gravamen of the issue at hand in an adversarial situation with the other side. Roger helped me protect my real estate clients. Everything Roger provided to me was simply excellent. On top of that, I enjoyed every one of our conversations. Roger, you made a loyal client, and should the time come when you need a posse, call my number.

My brother and I had a consultation with Roger Wallach, where we explained our business model and discussed our ventures. He was an excellent listener and showed complete comprehension of all of the legal requirements and best practices. I would highly recommend Roger to all due to the aforementioned reasons!

Im only giving one star because i cant give a middle finger. These people have been harassing me for a "debt" that I don't owe. I had security cameras on one of my homes, install by another POS company: AMP Smart. They spun me for years, after I sold the home and tried to cancel their service. AMP Smart told me that I had to write a letter informing them that I wanted to cancel my contract. I called, emailed, and wrote a letter canceling with them. AMP Smart then said the communication had to be sent to them in the last month of my contract: August 2020. The next year, I sent the letter and email in August 2020 and called for verification. They told me that my contract end date had passed, that my new contract end date was July 2021, and I would be responsible for another year of payments. The next year I sent the same letter and email in July 2021 and they told me the date had again passed and my end date is now June. In 2022, I began send cancelation emails in March, April, May, and June. Again, they attempted to scam me by saying that I had to send them a letter by certified mail. At this point, my attorney instructed me to stop payments at my bank and move on. Morganthal and whoever have been since harassing me about paying them money I do not owe! My attorney has resolved the issue, yet they STILL continue their threats and attempts.

I think this is a scam company. I started getting calls from them the day after rented a storage unit. I believe the storage company sold my personal info. They have been put on my spam and block list multiple times. I don't even know what they want or what they are trying to collect.

I had a Phone Consultation with Henry and felt better about my legal focus after talking with him. Hiring a attorney is a most difficult process, worse than hiring construction work. Henry took the time to see what value he could do or offer for my legal situation. I will be keeping Mr.Elster on top of my list on my Rolodex under Legal.

Henry has helped me with numerous personal legal matters over the course of the past several years. He is focused on the best possible outcomes for his clients and is very transparent throughout the entirety of the process. Henry is also very easy to reach and communicate with, never leaving you in the dark or failing to return a phone call or email. The factors stated above combined with Henry's knowledge of his craft and general likeability keep him at the top of my list to handle any legal matter I encounter.

I had hired Anthony to represent my interests in a workman's comp case. Through his advice and assistance, I was able to receive compensation in a reasonable period of time. Without his help, I do not think I would have gotten what I was needing.

Anthony Laramore was referred to me by one of his collegues and now I know why his college sent the referral. I have had several questions regarding a legal issue with a past employee. He not only offered his advice and thoughts, but he understood my position as if it were his own business. I have recieved periodic emails (without me requesting them) asking if I needed anything about the case reassuring me that he is there for me and my business. From the follow-ups to his knowledge about the topics discussed, I highly reccommend Mr. Laramore and I would have no problem referring a family, friend or colleague to him.

From the beginning of this case (back in May of 2015) I was able to get advice from Jason up to now. I was in a car accident and was not at fault. Once I was able to talk to Jason, he was able to help me out immediately and took action towards my case. Throughout the whole year of paper work, phone calls, signing papers, etc. I was patient enough until the end. Once the case was over, I was able to get my sharing with getting a better car and able to pay for my medical bills. I recommend this attorny to anyone!!

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Saint Louis, Missouri?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
