I hired Cynthia to represent me in 2010. I fell on ice at work and tore my rotator cuff all the way through. I was tired of dealing with the insurance company claims adjuster. She just wasn’t that nice, she never returned my calls, kept delaying things. It was so nice to just hand the whole mess to Cynthia. She met with me personally, spent a long time getting to know me, and worked my case quickly and professionally. She and her staff are just plain nice to work with, always friendly, easy to talk to, and I always felt comfortable asking questions, and talking to them. We just settled this week, and I am very happy with the settlement. In fact, it is quite a bit more than I ever expected. I would hire Cynthia again.

I always hoped I would never need a personal injury lawyer. The commercials on television are so sleazy, I thought they were all “ambulance chasers”. Well, then my car was rear-ended by a pick up truck going 55 miles an hour while I was at a dead stop. I happened to be on the job, as I am a Sales Rep for a large corporation. I seriously hurt my neck, sustaining 2 herniated discs. I was lost. I couldn’t work because my job requires me to lift items up to 50 pounds out of my trunk. I couldn’t do anything or even sleep because I was in so much pain. I was trying to deal with Workmans Comp and the insurance company for the guy who hit me and my own insurance company. Everyone wanted statements, I couldn’t keep straight who I had talked with because of the pain meds. I needed help. I researched and found Cynthia Hennessey. First and foremost, I was so happy to find an Attorney who was not “sleazy”. She is so professional and so nice; I felt like I was talking to a good friend. She cared about me personally, always asked about my kids and family. She took the whole situation off my shoulders, and I didn’t have to deal with any of the legal stuff again. I’m back to work now, after 2 surgeries, and 8 months off. My cases have all settled and the matter is finally behind me. Cynthia got me the maximum policy limits from all the insurance companies and a great settlement from Workmans Comp. I still consider her a friend, and wouldn’t hesitate to use her again.

My husband worked for a very large company, (I can’t say who) that delivers packages worldwide. He fell off a loading dock 2 years ago, onto his back and head. He suffered an injury to his head and brain and has never returned to work and will never return to work. He has never been the same since. He is depressed, has terrible memory problems, can’t concentrate, his mood has changed terribly. He is nothing like the man I married. Anyway, Cynthia Hennessey was our lawyer for the workmens comp case. Thank goodness we found her. As a nurse, she knew everything there was to know about head injuries. The workmens comp doctors all said there was nothing wrong with him, that he was faking. Cynthia believed him, and knew exactly what we were going through. She sent us to experts who finally did the correct testing, and took our case to trial. The judge was visibly upset with workmens Comp. He gave us everything we asked for, lifetime benefits, medical treatment and attendant care and all of our bills paid for. Again, thank goodness for Cynthia. I strongly recommend her for any type of brain injury or head injury.

I had a great experience with Cynthia Hennessey and her office. I fell at work and broke my ankle in three places requiring surgery with plates and screws. My recovery was long and drawn out. Cynthia was always great with keeping me posted as to what was happening with my case. I liked that she handles her cases from start to finish rather than shuffling the case to a young associate. She always knew exactly what was going on with my treatment. She was quick to obtain all my records, and settled my case with the insurance company shortly after I was released by the doctors. I feel I got a very fair settlement; in fact it was more than I expected. Overall, it was a very smooth experience, and I would choose Cynthia Hennessey again if I ever need an injury lawyer.

My husband had a fall at work injuring his neck and back. We knew it was a serious injury, and that we better get a lawyer to represent us. We had no idea where to turn. I opened up the paper and saw an advertisement for Cynthia Hennessey’s Workers Comp 101 the workshop. We cleared our calendar and went. I can only say we left absolutely amazed and sure that Cynthia Hennessey was going to be our lawyer. She is a nurse and a workers comp specialist. In 2 hours she taught us more than I ever believed I could learn about Work Comp insurance companies, the Second Injury Fund, Social Security, future medical treatment etc. She was funny, smart and informative. Our case is still pending as my husband has just had his 3rd surgery. But I couldn’t be happier with our choice of lawyer. I highly recommend her.

Cynthia Hennessey represented my husband Jim with his car accident case. He was rear-ended by a pickup truck going 55 miles an hour. He needed neck surgery and missed almost 6 months of work. I was very lucky to find Cynthia. She promised she was fast with cases, that she didn’t just let them sit around. And she was right. She filed the lawsuit, and had all of our medical records and bills immediately. Our case went to mediation and we think our settlement was more than fair, thanks to Cynthia. We needed the money from the settlement very badly or we would have lost our house and everything with Jim not working. I would definitely use Cynthia again, and highly recommend her.

I never in a million years thought I would need a lawyer for a Workers Comp injury. I am a pharmaceutical sales rep and I fell down 5 stairs while carrying a load of work materials, I hurt my neck and couldn’t work. Workers Comp tried to deny this at first. It was then that I knew I needed a lawyer. I researched and read up on every Workers Comp lawyer in St. Louis. I found Cynthia Hennessey, and I liked that she was a Nurse, a lawyer and also had worked for the insurance companies before. As well, I liked all the great reviews. I met with her, and immediately I knew I was in good hands. She was so nice and professional, I was sure I made a great choice. She filed for a hardship and won. So I started getting paid for the time I was missing. Workers Comp tried several more tricks to mess with me, but with each one, Cynthia immediately fought back, dragged them into court and won. My case ended with a good settlement. Of course my neck will never be the same again. But I was very, very happy to have had Cynthia as my lawyer and would use her again.

I went to Cynthia’s Workers’ Comp. 101 workshop in Collinsville because the lawyer I had wasn’t doing anything on my case. I learned more that evening than I ever thought possible. I fired my lawyer the next day and hired Cynthia. Cynthia had my case filed and ready for trial in 6 months. My other lawyer sat on it for a year. Cynthia was far better in court than the insurance company’s lawyer. He was unprepared, fumbled and stuttered and I could tell the judge just didn’t like him. Cynthia was extremely prepared, she had everything indexed and ready to go. Everything the Judge asked, Cynthia knew the answer to. It was obvious that the Judge liked her and respected her, that was clear. We got a great result from the trial judge. I was just very happy that I went to that workshop and met Cynthia. I highly recommend her.

When my 70 year old father fell at work (believe it or not he was still working 30 hours a week in a machine shop) severely injuring his leg I couldn’t believe that the Workers’ Comp. insurance company would give him a hard time. I researched every attorney in the area, and knew I wanted to hire Cynthia Hennessey when within 1 minute of meeting her. She was so kind, friendly, and compassionate and knew exactly what needed to be done. I knew that as a Nurse and a lawyer my Dad would feel comfortable with her, and she would completely understand his injury (which was very serious) as well as the law. It was so nice to feel that Cynthia had everything under control. Dad eventually recovered, for the most part, but couldn’t go back to work. Cynthia got him a very nice settlement from Workers Comp as well as lifetime benefits from the Second Injury Fund. I can’t speak highly enough about her, she was wonderful.

Two years ago I slipped on an icy walkway while making a delivery for work (I am a truck driver). I didn’t know any lawyers. I was referred to Cynthia Hennessey from my friend at work. He hired Cynthia for a case and had nothing but great things to say about her. I wound up needing surgery on my neck for a disc and my shoulder for a rotator cuff repair. By the time I was done treating, work wouldn’t take me back because I wasn’t 100% and I was pretty sure I couldn’t get any other company to hire me at 57 years old with these injuries. Cynthia fought Workman’s Comp to get me benefits from them. Then she fought Social Security Disability. Meanwhile we also had a case against the company that owned the property (I can’t say who because it is confidential). We had a formal mediation for that case in front of a judge, and wound up getting a very good settlement that compensates me for my wages and other benefits that I am out as well as for pain and suffering. Cynthia was always very nice to deal with. I never felt like I was bothering her when I called, and I called a lot. I have heard a lot of horror stories from other people about their lawyers, but Cynthia was great. I highly recommend her

I attended the Workers Comp 101 workshop that Cynthia Hennessey spoke at. I learned so much, and I knew then that I wanted her to handle my case as I was in over my head. I had no idea how the insurance companies play hardball with work injuries. Cynthia was extremely nice to work with. As a nurse and a lawyer I knew I was in good hands with her. My case went to mediation, at which time Cynthia argued the case to the judge and we got a very good and very fair settlement. I would definitely use Cynthia again if I needed a lawyer.

Cynthia Hennessey handled my daughter’s car accident case. I was very nervous hiring a lawyer for her as she is only 18. I knew she needed a lawyer and would not be treated fairly by the insurance company. I admit I liked that Cynthia is a nurse and a woman. I thought she would be more understanding and compassionate with my daughter’s injuries. I was right with that. She was so nice to my daughter, she spent hours getting to know her, and making her feel comfortable. I was right that the insurance company for the other driver was terrible. My daughter was not at fault, did nothing wrong, and was badly hurt. The whole accident was a horrible situation for us, but Cynthia is very agressive with them and in the end got us a great settlement at mediation that we were very happy with. I highly recommend her.
