When Neil Chandler came to our house after a horrific accident involving my mom, he was the only beacon of light I saw at that moment. Without being too nosy, and while really respecting family boundaries and privacy, he offered to help when things seemed hopeless. Our family did not think that anything could be done and we actually tried to push our opinion on to Neil but he disagreed with us and went with his gut feeling that there was a case.
