Marshall got me primary custody right of my son in a paternity case. He did a fantastic job I recommend him to anyone who needs help in the family court.

Marshall did a wonderful job of representing me in my divorce/custody battle. Mother took without my knowledge our child to a whole different city hours away, Marshall filed an injunction and got her back home. False abuse allegations where filed against me and an order of protection was made, Marshall then got that dropped because there wasn't any evidence of abuse. The case ended as 50/50 custody and me as residential. Thanks Marshall for all of your hard work!

I don’t even know where to begin. Marshall Hoekel was, by FAR, the worst attorney I’ve ever had the displeasure to work with. In my divorce, he collected the retainer and I never heard from him for about three months. During the course of day-to-day life, especially as a single mom, I had kind of forgotten about it. Once it came to my mind that I’d yet to hear from him in the months since I’d paid him, I reached out to him and asked for an update. He said he’d filed my case in court. I told him I was very unhappy thus far with the service that I was receiving from him. He apologized and said he would do better and asked for another chance to prove himself. In spite of my reservations, I did decide to continue working with him. This time, about a month and a half went by with absolutely no contact from him. I kept checking CaseNet to see if anything had been filed for my case….nothing. At this point, I just decided that I wanted my money back and I would just obtain the services of another attorney. I sent Marshall a certified letter stating that I did not want to use him as my attorney anymore and that I wanted my retainer back. He didn’t respond. So, I filed a claim against him in Small Claims Court for the amount of my retainer. He was served regarding the Small Claims court date and, surprise surprise, he called me at home the day before we were to appear in court and offered to write me a check in his office that afternoon. I have no idea how this guy gets such great reviews because he is a TERRIBLE attorney.
