John is one hell of a lawyer! I was going through a bad patch in life where alcohol was an issue. None the less I got in trouble back to back. I had two DWI's within 60days of each other which one was with a suspend license and a car accident. I was looking at jail time! He was able to get One DWI completely dropped and the Second DWI dropped to an SIS (Suspended Imposition of Sentence). I spent NO JAIL TIME thank god! I was able to set up payments with him. He honestly cares about you and he will do as much has he can to help. I will continue to use him if I find myself in any future issues. I contacted M.Karl Hawkins to establish a Power of Attorney and a Will prior to a surgery I was going to undergo in little over a week. To say I was a little frantic is an understatement. I am only 52 and over all a healthy person but felt the need to put something in place before a major surgery to protect my two adult children. Everyone at M. Karl Hawkins was friendly and sensitive to my request and acted swiftly to assist me. They were able to accommodate me with a consultation in two days. I had a Trust, Last Will and Testament, Living Will, General Durable Power of Attorney, Health Care Declaration, Deed of Gift, Personal Property Memorandum and Instructions and Beneficiary Deed in place within one week. I didn’t realize how exceptional this was until I spoke with other people that had gone through this process and it took them several weeks. I would absolutely recommend M. We met with Karl to set up a Trust and were told we'd hear back in 2 weeks. We gave him extra time due to holidays, however 3 months later we still have heard nothing. I've emailed, left messages, even spoke with someone who told me I'd get a call back but have heard nothing.
