I am a single mother of 4 young children. Stephanie Kotik was appointed to me thru juvenile court to represent me. She did an awesome job. Stephanie was always available to me, very informative of the procedures, supportive, and willing to go the extra mile to help me fight for my children as much as I fought for them. Thanks Stephanie u r an awesome attorney!!!!!!!!!!

My review of Kotik & mcclure attorneys at law is strictly based our experience w/ Steffanie Kotik. I would not recommend her as a lawyer to anyone. It has taken years and years to basically get nowhere on a situation she said would be handled in a couple months, and before we went thru the retainer. She constantly says she WILL do things toward the case, and does NOT. I deeply regret doing business w/ her.

Megan is not only a great lawyer but that in one who is especially good in emotionally charged situations as separation, custody process, child support, division of marital debts/assets. Most people have no clue how these sorts of issues work. I believe Megan's strong suit was taking time to explain and walk me through these hard times. I never felt like I was in the dark and was confident she cared about my case. At most points In my divorce/ custody case I felt as if she were guiding me through acting as many forms of support as it was a rollercoaster of events. I hopefully will never need a lawyer again in my lifetime, but if I do I wouldn't look for anyone different.

Megan was very efficient and helpful. She also got the job done on a case that was not wrapping up with my original lawyer. I would recommend her to my family and friends.

Megan assisted me with a dispute I was involved in and only did I obtain a favorable outcome, but for such a frustrating situation to be involved in, the process overall was not unduly burdensome or super stressful – and that is all thanks to Megan. First, Megan was super responsive; when I would ask her a question, if she was unable to provide me with advice within the next couple days, she would always respond and let me know she received my question and when I could expect to hear back from her, which is a rare quality in today’s legal community – in my past experience all too often would I go more than a week without any response from my attorney, and/or I have to send several follow-up emails before I would hear anything back from them, which makes an already stressful situation even more unpleasant. Another thing about Megan’s representation of me that was unique compared to my past attorneys is that as our case progressed I came to trust her completely – this was largely due to the fact that Megan would level with me and would explain to me which of my goals and expectations were realistic, and which were not so much. During these tough conversations, Megan was very open and honest with me – so while some of this news was hard to hear, I appreciated her honesty and her expertise and these discussions inevitably lead me in the direction to a successful outcome. A third point I would like to make about Megan is that, although there were options I had that Megan made clear would be an uphill battle, Megan still completely left the direction of the case in my discretion. Also, even though some of the options available to me had a low likelihood of a favorable outcome for me, Megan made me feel like regardless of which option I chose, that she would continue to assist me and would continue to put in the energy and effort as she had thus far. This was the thing that stuck out to me the most about Megan – In the past, I have had attorneys present me with options and they would make me feel like if I didn’t go with the one route they suggested, that I would be making a “dumb” decision, or that they would not really be in my corner anymore. Without a doubt, I would refer anyone looking for legal assistance regarding any domestic relations matter to McDowell Law Firm.
