I had full custody sole legal and sole physical. I hired Posin to answer a motion. He never got the case settled but was okay with continuing the case from opposing counsel. This was all at my expense. Because it was during Covid this guy used a hardship to overcharge immensely. DO NOT USE THIS ATTORNEY.

Don't use this guy unless you have money to throw away. Posin charged me 15K for writing 2 counter motions and never stepped a foot in court. Horrible attorney, I had to fight the case pro-se and got better results.

We have used Mr. Posin several times for my brother in criminal actions. He has always managed our expectations, but in the end made miracles happen. He is direct with regards to the case and possible outcome, prompt in returning calls and answering any questions we had, and his staff is always wonderful. I work for an attorney myself, and Jeff has all of the qualities I was looking for. Definitely recommend his office.

I was rear ended and sustained a minor neck injury, seemed pretty strait forward until the other parties insurance refused to pay my medical bills or fix my correctly. I Called one attorney who was not interest, then i found Rob Cardenas at Cardenas law group. Rob came out to me and reviewed my situation, he assured me he would dig in and work hard to get me a resolution and that he did. Rob handled everything and never took No for an answer, he got all my medical bills paid ASAP and a settlement that I was Not expecting, most of all I was treated like family - seriously family, always kind and informative about case, I never had to call and ask for an update and he would make sure I was doing OK. With all honesty I could not have found a better person who took excellent care of me. I now consider Rob a good friend. A true blessing from God.

Rob was a huge help to me with my case. He went above and beyond to make sure I understood everything and to communicate every step of the way. I know that during the whole case I could always pick up the phone and call him. I have since called him to just ask questions about other matters that I needed some guidance on. I would and have referred friends and family to him!

I'd never used an attorney with any personal injury before and now I always will. I was involved in two car accidents within a year and I hired Rob to help me through both cases. Rob handled all the court appearances, paperwork and correspondence so I could concentrate on getting better. He was a firm negotiator and was able to obtain a settlement for both cases. To top it all off, Rob has the best attitude and was extremely pleasant to work with.

Unfortunately I had to go through a divorce, but fortunately Rachel Jacobson was my attorney. Rachel has an exceptional knowledge of the law, and always took time to listen and communicate. At every turn when I was willing to settle for less, she was there to advise me of what was allowed within the law, and what was in my best interest as well. Interactions with her staff (Isaac), was always professional, couterteous, and thorough.

I have had the chance to do a consultation with Mr. Tzall via phone call today. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and insightful. He managed to clearly explain about my legal options, past practices, potential liabilities regarding my case and provided easy to understand ways of achieving my goals. He clearly has an extensive experience in family law even very niche aspects of family law. I have contacted other attorneys prior to him but my case was so specific that they all told me that Mr. Tzall would be the person to consult with. They were right. Thank you Mr. Tzall for your courteous service! I highly recommend him to others based on my experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Henderson, Nevada?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
