At 19 years old, I was sentenced to do probation with specific stipulations for a gross misdemeanor in 2017. In 2020 I was facing absconding charges with extreme consequences and 365 days in prison. I landed the job of my dreams but then, just like that, the company withdrew their offer of employment due to my background check.
