At the begging he delayed responded to my inquiries all the time. I had to contact the court directly if I needed information because never responded in a properly time. My husband had an arrest warrant for failure to apear to a court date that he wasn’t aware because Ogata’s office missed to inform my husban so last year he got arrested for that warrant I paid 3200 to bail him out. Called Ogata to see if he wanted to take the case and on fist few time we went to court he send someone else no one told us and I called and Texted Ogata few days before. I also drove him one time to my husbands court because he lost his car in a drunk driving accident that he was involved since he also has several DUIs in his record so my Husband had to do an evaluation Mr Ogata never sat with us to go over it and give us options. Then because we couldn’t pay him after what he charged us he wanted 500 dlls every time he went to Pahrump for my husband case I was pregnant and unemployed we only had what my husband was making, he dropped the case and on my husbands last court my husband got arrested and since we didn't pay him he left the court without telling me what happen since I was in the car waiting for my husband with my 6mo baby for 2hrs I sat there until I went inside the court house to find out what was going on and Mr Ogatta was parked behind my car and he knew I was there. And I wish I could post the text message that he send me when I contacted him to see what had happen. He’s response was “ you promised to pay didn’t even make an effort to contact me judge ruled 120 days” and thats the last I heard from him. Now my husband is in jail serving the time. So do your research It looks like this guy is good if you have the money otherwise he will screw you like he did my husband he was only missing DUI class and VIP.

The 12th day of August, 2016 is a day I’ll never forget… I was involved in an accident, after having left a birthday get together for a friend in which alcohol was consumed. I was initially charged with a misdemeanor DUI and failure to maintain travel lane. About a week before I was supposed to go to trial, the State bumped the charges to DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm, a category B Felony, which carries a mandatory prison sentence if found guilty. After doing some research and learning that DUI defense is an area that he specializes in, I made an appointment to meet Mr. Ogata and discuss my case. He was friendly and easy to talk to. His professionalism and expertise put me at ease, and I realized then and there that it was in my best interest to have him in my corner. Through it all, Garrett T. Ogata has been by my side. Through all the hearings, arraignments, status checks, and sentencing, he has been my staunch advocate. He was always there to answer all my questions and to guide me through this whole ordeal. In the end, Mr. Ogata was able to negotiate a favorable plea agreement with the State to avoid a trial and possible imprisonment. I was allowed to plead guilty to felony reckless driving and receive probation instead. Also as part of the plea deal, the State agreed to not oppose allowing me to withdraw my plea to felony reckless driving and instead plead guilty to misdemeanor reckless driving and receiving credit for time served, after an honorable discharge from probation. After successfully completing probation and a court appearance to reduce the charge, I walked out of Court with my attorney, Garrett T. Ogata, and with the felony permanently removed from my record.
