A default judgement was entered against me and members of my family regarding a matter that took place almost seven years ago with my then minor child. We were wholly unaware of this judgement or the preceding legal maneuverings so we were completely caught off guard and I have to say a bit scared. The situation was rather involved and to compound matters I no longer live in the Las Vegas area. My first course of business was to find appropriate counsel in Las Vegas to simply provide guidance. Regrettably, every referral I had went virtually nowhere. I was in a bit of a panic, as a court mandated deadline was fast approaching. Fortunately, I had a referral to Hurtik Law & Associates and from the moment I made contact they were absolutely terrific. Carrie Hurtik and her team jumped in and quickly gave me the lay of the land (I’m a legal neophyte) and the guidance I and my family desperately needed. Although, my relationship with Hurtik was brief I can say they were well-versed, professional and responsive. I was fortunate in that my insurance carrier stepped in and is providing for our defense, but had they not I would have retained the Hurtik team without a moment’s hesitation.

I requested help on filing bankruptcy and Ms. Hurtik called me right away and gave me advice on what to do since I now live in Arizona. She was friendly and seemed very knowledgeable.

Carrie handled my case with efficient professionalism and with compassion. When I was deciding on a lawyer, I looked for somebody that I could relate to and who would understand how the case has affected me. I am glad I found that in Carrie. She had the knowledge and the skills to speak for my rights and to help me understand my options. She was attentive to my concerns and helped me focus on the important information. I would also like to commend her office staff, especially, Judy, who reflected the caring personality of Carrie's practice. Judy listened and welcomed me with her greeting. Whatever frustrations I had with my case, Judy's uplifting voice was a welcome boost.

When we initially setup up a time and went to her office, apparently there was a mix-up with the time we were supposed to be there. One on way home, we had a call from the receptionist saying that Carrie really felt bad about that and immediately made time for that day. We had heard just how great her legal services were and sure enough we were not disappointed throughout the BK process. We have also been recommending her to all of our friends and neighbors accordingly.

Carrie and her staff are so nice, caring and professional. Filing a BK is a rough experience to go through but they worked really hard to make it as easy and painless as possible. I have a lot of respect for Carrie and would highly recommend her services to any of my friends or family. She is very good at what she does...without that typical arrogance you see so much of with other attorneys. I really like her!

Last year, I got word from my bank that they were going to adjust my mortgage rate on my second property. The were nearly doubling it for that year alone! Being I bought right before the down turn like everyone else I was hoping to ride it out and even started putting money into the property. I tried every option to work with the bank on my own. Everything you hear about banks giving you the run around and losing your information is TRUE! Being I was severally underwater on the property, I was at a loss as what I should do. I found Mrs Hurtik and couldn't have been happier! We decided the best option was to short sale the property. Mrs Hurtik dealt with the bank for me, so I stopped receiving the non stop phone calls and letters. We had some hiccup's during the sale with the buyers and Mrs Hurtik pushed through till we got it sold! Now my family and I can finally breathe. I highly recommend talking to Mrs Hurtik if you need help!
