Attorney Dorothy Bunce represented us in a Chapter 7 case. We are an older married couple, and we were so worried about losing everything we owned this late in life, and concerned about the bankruptcy proceedings. I called because I was thinking that maybe she would have a referral for a company or attorney in Utah to help me deal with some stuff going on here and she immediately before I could even finish speaking said "sweeting it would be illegal for me to do anything from a different state, do not ask me to break the law for you" and hung up on me. All I was wondering was if she had the contact information for any legal companies in Utah because I have called a lot of different people and no one has any contact information. I looked her up because she specifically deals with the things I am trying to get resolved. I was not looking for her counsel, I was just looking for a name of a company if she had any recommendation and she was very unprofessional and rude. I've been fighting this for years and to be cut off and hung up on immediately without even hearing what I was asking is very rude and pathetic coming from someone whose I a position to help.

There are a lot of people out there looking for a cheap way to file bankruptcy. Do it yourselfers, bankruptcy attorney mills (a lot like puppy mills) that just move you through and don’t really care, or predatory attorneys that try to force you into and expensive chapter 13 because they either A: don’t know the law or B: want to make more money.
