My wife and I won. And this would not have happened without the help of Andrew Zemprazik, Maria and Amanda. This Law Office is LGBT friendly. They informed us about so many things and gave us the confidence to fight for the rights of our kids. Andrew was with us all the way and was quick to respond to our questions. During our court hearing, Andrew made the opposing lawyer Husna Alikhan sound like she needed to go back to school. Everything that Andrew presented to the court was very detailed and it was backed up with valid applicable laws. Husna Alikhan cited an obsolete law during the court hearing. Barnes Law Group is current. I highly recommend them because they treated us like family. Thank you Andrew, Maria and Amanda!!!!!

I want to start off by saying I don’t normally write reviews, but after my time with Carol, I wanted to help guide someone like myself in the right direction. Legal issues are never easy, much less when they involve children, but Carol makes this inevitably bitter and confusing process much easier. Carol and Andrew are knowledgeable attorneys with great communication skills, and willingness to listen. They are straight to the point, no sugarcoating and with great judgment. Maria is an exceptional paralegal and a great asset to Barnes law group. I cannot thank them enough for guiding me during this process.

I cannot recommend Carol Barnes enough for anyone dealing with any type of family court issue, especially if you want the focus to be on the well-being of the child or children involved. Carol represented my daughter and granddaughter in a difficult custodial case between my daughter and her daughter’s father. From the time my daughter first met with Carol, she was direct, informative, compassionate and focused on the well-being of my granddaughter. My daughter felt she could communicate her concerns and be heard, which is so important, especially in tough cases. It was a difficult road, but Carol was patient, attentive and responsive each step of the way. She is strong and strategic in court, again with enormous integrity working on behalf of the child at the center. We are so grateful that the end result was one that provides as much as possible to ensure my granddaughter’s well-being not just in the short term but in the long term. She also made sure that all bases were covered throughout the entire process and court agreement. She really is amazing.

It seemed obvious in my case from the get go, that the Judge respected Carol M Barnes Esq, a whole lot more than the opposition's lawyer. The opposition's lawyer was sloppy and unprofessional and the (Judge) court took notice, to my surprise. Ms.Barnes is my 4th lawyer on my case, helping with post divorce issues. And, she is by far the best and her ethics and skill, puts her in the upper echelon of lawyers in town, yet very reasonable and humble to only charge $350, especially given her resume. The only other skilled and ethical lawyer that might be able to compete with her caliber, is Rhonda Mushkin, but she charges $450 or 500/hr. There might be a few others in town, that are ethical. If you have a shady cheap lawyer, as I had before, there's a reason. Cheap isn't always cheaper. A previous cheap bottom rung lawyer (@200/hour) wouldn't allow me to settle and it was an expensive nightmare, like a taxi cab ride from hell, where you can't get off. My ex uses a (elderly quasi volunteer) cheap lawyer and the x has yet to make any ground or advancements after 3 years. Nonetheless, Ms.Barnes got the respect and the shady cheap lawyer just wasted every one's time and gained nothing for his client, because he was unethical and the court can't ignore stuff when you have a good lawyer, like Ms.Barnes

I had debilitating anxiety over my case. After not finding what I was looking for from other attorneys, I found Carol Barnes. None of the other lawyers I spoke to was very helpful or responsive and I wanted to get things taken care of ASAP. Carol was upfront and honest with me from the beginning. Ms. Carol Barnes and Barnes law firm, I’m so blessed to have had Ms. Carol Barnes and her law firm representing me and was very successful. She is not only a legal guru in all things especially with my countermotion for modification of child custody, modification of child support and related relief. But even more so she is an exceptional human being, because she empathizes with her clients and care that justice is done! The beginning, for me it was to find the right and highly qualified Custody attorney. Carol Barnes is the very best of the best. I can say that because I tried to retain many of the A list attorneys in town to undo a very messy case and no one would touch it. I had already lost the first custody trial and an appeal, and they all said it was too difficult and too much work for their firm. Carol took my case and was able to undo 4 1/2 years of damage caused by a highly litigated case where a judge consistently ruled against me. It was very hard and frustrating work, especially because it was a relocation case. Thankfully, Carol was up for the task. She and her firm were highly organized, by the book, and ahead of the game at all times. If Carol takes your case, she believes in you and insists on winning. She leaves no rock unturned and is ALWAYS on point. The confidence I had with Carol in my corner was such a relief and comfort. She did the impossible and gave my young son and I back our lives. We will forever be grateful.
