Unfortunately I found myself in need of a lawyer last year due to a custody case but I was very fortunate to have found Sandra Rebolledo. She was very competent, knowledgeable and not afraid to fight for my child. I was very happy with her services, she was very prompt in answering my calls and/ or emails personally (not an assistant ) and that made me feel secure and hopeful that I had the right lawyer on my side. I have since recommended Sandra to 2 of my friends who are currently going through the same issues. Thank You and God bless you Sandra.

Ms. Rebolledo is very knowledgeable and skilled in her profession. I am a telecommunications business owner that provides backbone infrastructure services to large communications carriers. Over the course of the past three years I have needed extensive legal counsel, advise and services on several occasions with a wide range of legal issues and challenges. Sandra has made me aware and kept me informed on steps that I needed to take regarding personal and business assets, corporate structure, insurance coverage, deeds, etc... I know through the countless obstacles and challenges I have dealt with that Sandra is an attorney that I can trust to give clear direction, counsel and representation regarding my legal options in any given situation. However, it does require that I listen to and follow through with the legal advise Sandra has given to me. On more than one occasion I have procrastinated and then only to wish I would have understood the urgency Sandra had already warned me about. I can count on Sandra to always advise me regarding what I need to hear and know legally for the success of my business and personal endeavors. I feel very confident today that my business and personal success can be largely attributed to Sandra's superior knowledge, insight, counsel and hard work regarding legal matters.

Sandra is an amazing Attorney. She came to my defense immeditately without reservation and felt more like a friend who had my back. I am very satisfied with my case. She has worked very hard on my behalf. Their are a lot of flakes out there, but Sandra knows how to play hard ball with all them. Yet She is genuinely concerned for my welfare beyond the call of duty. She has been very good to me, always keeping me informed. I appreciate her hard work and concern for my case. If anyone is not satisfied with her ..... their just one of the few people who are a "Sour Grapes Attitude". Thank You Sandra for all your hard work. God Bless You. Sincerly CeCe E.

Last year I was having custody problems and I was so scared about losing my child. I met Sandra and told her my situation she immediately jumped into my case and helped me out. I am a single parent and she understood my financial situation and was able to help me out at a reasonable cost. I was so nervous and had no clue about the court system. She explained everything to me and was able to help me out. Now thanks to her I have primary custody of my child and was able to win the case. I am so thankful to her!!!! I also recently was involved in a car accident and didn't hesitate to call her!! she is also helping me out with that!! Also, my friend was going over the same issues regarding custody and I told her to call Sandra. Sandra was able to help her out and she also won her case!!! If you want someone honest and that cares about her clients call Sandra Rebolledo!!!

I don't bother to write reviews, but I felt like I needed to after such a positive experience with The Bunker Law Group. Ben was very professional, showed great knowledge for the work I had him do, and finished it in half the time I thought it would take him. Ben exceeded my expectations in every category. 5 Stars all around. Highly recommended.

Gabrielle Jones is a compassionate, professional attorney that works hard for her clients. I am fortunate to have been referred to her, and I don't think anyone could have handled my divorce, custody, and support issues as seamlessly as she did. She took SO much weight off my shoulders. I HIGHLY recommend her!

Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Las Vegas, Nevada?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
