I contacted Michael and his team to try and get my divorce as seamless as possible. I let mike know everything going on from the problems my ex was creating, and even had so many questions for him due to myself not knowing the process all too well as this was my first time dealing with a lawyer. Mike and his team took all the time in the world to answer any question that I might've had, and even came up with solutions that I could not think of. Burton & Vazquez made this process the EASIEST thing, and not only that they took the HEAVIEST weight off of my shoulders. I had also ran into a financial issue during our time working together, and Mike ensured me we can get it done and was willing to work with me. I have never needed a lawyer to represent me in the past, so this was my first experience. I bet that, along with fictional depictions of lawyers, a person's first experience with a lawyer probably colors how they generally think of them. If I am correct in that idea, then my idea of lawyers is that they are awesome. Levity aside, Ashlee and her firm (to include Sue, the paralegal) are fantastic. I was going through a divorce that was initially civil and was going to be a joint petition but my ex kept delaying for months. Eventually I had to hire an attorney and from day one Ashlee was attentive in understanding the particulars of my circumstances, my ideal outcome, and explaining to me what I could expect. I am the type who researches and ask questions. Ashlee was always available via their client portal and, once she realized my personality was to know the details, she provided explanations of everything happening along the way. I ended with a settlement that was in line with what I wanted. 100% without hesitation recommend.

Mrs. Vazquez has fought hard for my family and won my cases. She is extremely knowledgeable and made a difficult situation easy with her professionalism, compassion and grace. I am so thankful I found her. I couldn’t recommend her enough!!

Michael has been my attorney for over 5 years. I am really happy he was my attorney throughout my entire custody disputes and motions practically winning me every single dispute including finally being awarded primary custody of my son for school year. However he will tell you how it is and you should listen. He serves as your logical brain when your emotion clouds you during difficult times. You might not like it at first but he isn’t about being a shark or a petty attorney ,he is about you playing the cards right before the judge so that you get the best result in the best interest of your kid.He knows his family judges well and he a is good no nonsense negotiator all while maintaining class and using his extensive knowledge of the law to get you best results and save you $. I am so happy I retained him as my attorney and I’m never going to another Family law attorney again in my life although I hope not to need him my whole life hehe.

Highly recommend both Ashley and Michael! I have worked with both of them and if ever needed in the future, would definitely use them both again! They both communicate very well, do not keep you in the dark about pros and cons, and help you find the best option for yourself and your case!
