When I came to Julie in August of 2021 I was a scared mother of 2 small ones, my (now ex) husband had left me and my two small children in small desolate town in Southern Nevada with no means to survive, if you aren't a miner, driller or their wife of one, you have no future in this area. I was beyond horrified, I needed to move to another place to simply survive. I had family in Northern California but my kids dad was absolutely against this and threatened to press kidnapping charges if I left. In the time Mrs. Raye worked with me to gain custody and the right to relocate she helped me find a since of self worth and courage to keep fighting for my kids and to continue to do the right thing for them no matter how hard. Without her I am not sure how my life would have turned out nor do I want to think about the possibilities. I do know that I thank her more than anyone can ever comprehend for my second chance at life with my kids.

If you hire her it is not about you or the mental health of your children, it is about her dragging it out in order to collect more lawyer fees from you. She will ignore the other side prior to court in order to make sure it does go to court $$$$. Her unwillingness to listen cost majority child custody the father was willing to offer. Dirty and a failure.

Julie Raye attorney in my case. This attorney claims they are for “women”. Real women do not keep their child away from their fathers! Real female attorneys do not make false allegations to make that happen without proof. Real women’s rights attorneys believe in honesty and integrity from mothers. This firm gives women a bad name. Polar opposite of what the “me too” movement stood for - she should be ashamed. Not to mention they are unable to reply and complete reports in a timely manner. Julie making a habit of being late demonstrates disrespect, selfishness and patchy priorities. Julie Raye does not reply to plaintiffs counsel so she can drag out court hearing and create revenue. Integrity is holding fast to your our convictions regardless of the consequences and never compromising our ideals or values, even if it effects the bottomline. Julie (owner) is not a feminist by any means, it would appear she has compromised her honesty and ethics in the process. Do not ever use the law firm... unless you have no moral character.

I’ve been a Client of Ms. Julie Raye @ The Grace Law Firm for a year and a half now. I’ve been/currently going through a very difficult divorce situation and having 3 children involved, even harder and most confusing. She is Honest, flexible, incredibly good listener, caring and Knows her stuff, For Real!! It’s not about “get her money and that’s that”, No!!! She believes in what she does and has the upmost respect for her clients and their (OUR) rights. The healing process is horrible, but she’s always the light that shines through for me and giving me a voice to assist in one of the Hardest parts of my personal life. I’m so Thankful that I Found You! Thank You for All You Do and All you Are Julie and Staff!

I don't bother to write reviews, but I felt like I needed to after such a positive experience with The Bunker Law Group. Ben was very professional, showed great knowledge for the work I had him do, and finished it in half the time I thought it would take him. Ben exceeded my expectations in every category. 5 Stars all around. Highly recommended.

Gabrielle Jones is a compassionate, professional attorney that works hard for her clients. I am fortunate to have been referred to her, and I don't think anyone could have handled my divorce, custody, and support issues as seamlessly as she did. She took SO much weight off my shoulders. I HIGHLY recommend her!

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Las Vegas, Nevada?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
