1
Highly professional and knowledgeable attorneys who are skilled in family law and divorce cases
“Attorneys Jennifer Abrams and Vincent Mayo and their entire staff did an outstanding job on my divorce case. It was a very complex case and involved multiple jurisdictions with considerable assets at stake. I am very pleased with the results they achieved for me and highly recommend these Las Vegas divorce attorneys.”
2
Responsive and attentive to client needs, keeping them informed throughout the process
“Vince Mayo was open to my wishes and needs. I went in with a desired result and although he did not get me 100% of what I wanted he helped me secure my future which was ultimately what was most important. I could not have asked for anything more.”
3
Aggressive and effective in advocating for clients' best interests
“If you want an attorney who can truly turn the script around in your favor, she's the one. I owe my life to this law firm, as my case had potential for a very bad outcome, but fortunately, I got an exceptional one that was way better than my ideal outcome.”
4
Provide a team-based approach, with paralegals and support staff contributing to successful outcomes
“It definitely felt like I had a whole team by my side, not just fighting for me, but alongside me.”
5
Willing to go the extra mile for clients, even in difficult or complex cases
“Vince and Julie helped me when no one else would. Well….the Motion was GRANTED and now I get to see my Grandson! honestly, I never thought it would happen because of the challenged and outdated laws for third-party visitation.”
Cons
1
Some clients felt the fees were higher than expected, though they felt the quality of representation was worth it
“Yes a little more costly but I don't regret my choice.”
2
A few clients had issues with the firm's communication or responsiveness in certain situations

I was referred to Lianna Urfalyan, and while you never want to be in a situation where you need an attorney for custody-related issues, I was so grateful to have her and Mark DiCiero as partners during this challenging time. The entire team is professional, information is shared promptly, and you never have to guess where things stand. They're thorough, strong without being bullish, well-informed, and walking into court with Lianna by my side made me feel confident and secure with the position I was in. Everything turned out for the best, thank goodness, because of her experience and professional insight. Without a doubt, if an issue arises in the future (hopefully not), I will not hesitate to call Lianna or refer her to others needing an attorney. You don't have to do any of this alone, and if you're able to have an attorney represent your best interest, I truly and highly recommend Lianna Urfalyan.

I never once regretted this perfect team. My custody case handled by Vincent, Julie, Chantel and Stephanie has given me the best part of my life. Yes I stretched for their service, and I would do it again every time. I would not risk my own or my daughters happiness on any other attorney. This diligent team made me feel secure. I worked hard to feed them information, gather documents, organize files and continue an open line of communication. They understood how important this was to me and never let me down. Their team always acted in my families best interest and remained professional. Vincent and his crew secured primary custody for me and I couldn't be more pleased. The second best part is the volume of facts recorded that will protect our life moving forward. I am so grateful for them and positively feel that this team won us the best outcome. As a single dad who would do anything for happily ever after, don't go cheap go elite, get the Abrams & Mayo Law Firm.

They were very helpful and courteous, understood my situation, and even helped me to understand the difference between CA law and NV law to make the best decisions on where to proceed. Thank you especially to my Attorney Lianna Urfalyan. She is the best attorney I have worked with in any legal matter!!!

I don't bother to write reviews, but I felt like I needed to after such a positive experience with The Bunker Law Group. Ben was very professional, showed great knowledge for the work I had him do, and finished it in half the time I thought it would take him. Ben exceeded my expectations in every category. 5 Stars all around. Highly recommended.

Gabrielle Jones is a compassionate, professional attorney that works hard for her clients. I am fortunate to have been referred to her, and I don't think anyone could have handled my divorce, custody, and support issues as seamlessly as she did. She took SO much weight off my shoulders. I HIGHLY recommend her!

  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Las Vegas, Nevada?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
