Helped me quickly over the phone to resolve my issue. I didn't need an attorney. Thanks!

My late uncle was in his nineties and living alone when he started to show early signs of dementia. However, he wanted to be independent. Eventually, a woman with guardianship experience was introduced to him so that he could receive help with his medications and daily activities. Within 4 months of their initial meeting, she convinced him to rewrite his will to include her. She accomplished this by isolating him from his family, conning him into believing that she was not being paid for her services, and telling him that he must make her a beneficiary of his will or she would not be able to keep on caring for him. The first attorney that I engaged did nothing to impede this woman's efforts to use the Clark County court system to cement her control over my uncle and his estate. The second attorney that I engaged sent an unprepared, incompetent junior associate to court. Subsequently I found Mike Olsen. He did his utmost to help right the wrongs in this complicated matter. I found him to be smart, kind, honest, and hardworking. Litigation is not for the faint-hearted, but Mr. Olsen did an outstanding job overall in helping me through it. I highly recommend him.

I rarely write a customer review, but this is one case that if I can share my experience and help prevent another person from enduring what I had to endure, it will have been worth it. I spoke with Thomas R. Grover in March 2020. My oldest nephew had recently passed away in Las Vegas. I was referred to Blackrock by another law firm in town; online reviews were good. I needed a simple assignment agreement drafted to be filed with the Eighth Judicial District Court (Clark County, Nevada). Mr. Grover said it would be a simple 2-page document. It took a week to get the draft; filing with the court did not happen until April. Not a whole lot happened with the probate case until late October. I contacted Mr. Grover once again to get him more actively involved after a number of documents were filed with the court. Over the next 5 months, Mr. Grover rarely returned my emails, phone calls or text messages. This was a very emotional case for me because it involved a beloved family member. I have never had such a negative experience with an attorney my entire life. When I was able to schedule appointments with Mr. Grover, they were often weeks out, even though probate hearings moved forward. As a professional real estate broker myself, I understand how important it is to keep in touch with my clients throughout the entire real estate process. This type of attention or follow-up did not happen with Mr. Grover. Again, this was a relatively straightforward legal matter. I shudder to think what I would have encountered and endured had this been a complex probate matter. There was an unnecessary amount of frustration, disappointment and time lost during a year-long process.
