Excellent attorney. My mom was having nothing but trouble and dismay with her trust and previous lawyer after my father passed away. Luke took the time to explain each and every detail to her in lay terms and helped her put everything in order. Very personable, knowledgeable, friendly, practical, and accessible. Highly recommend.

Like others here initially we thought Luke Welmerink was the most personable and best attorney we ever had. We were thrilled to have him on our team. As ophthalmic surgeons we have had trusts for over 4 decades and have worked with many attorneys. Luke created a joint trust for us in 2020. This needed a minor amendment in December 2021. Each time we added 25% gratuities to his fees and always brought or sent gifts for him and his family. We loved him and were delighted with his service. But after we paid him for the amendment in December 2021 he failed to follow through. He did not send the electronic copies or transmit the documents to the trust company that had recommended him to us as promised. These things would have taken at most 10 minutes of his time. We wrote emails (MANY EMAILS) asking for follow through and explanations. No responses. We left voice mails which went unanswered. We left phone requests with Luke's assistant Ms. Rivera asking for return calls....but they never came. Initially we were concerned about internet issues since the Luke we knew would never neglect his clients…over weeks. We tried different email accounts. As the weeks passed, we became deeply concerned about Luke's health or that of his family. He was in our prayers. Remarkably at 6 weeks, Luke emailed stating he HAD received our email, admitted he had "failed miserably to follow through", stated that we had been on his "to do list" (for weeks?) and that he would complete the needed items "tomorrow". We were stunned. This was an admission that he willfully failed to show us the common courtesy and professional obligation of responding to our attempts to reach him over the previous 6 weeks. Luke's promised "tomorrow" only partially came to fruition. At 8 weeks he did send 1 of 3 documents. Additional emails, voice messages and messages with Cassie failed to produce responses or results trying to obtain the remaining two. An additional 6 weeks passed with nothing done. After 3 months of this egregious neglect, we severed ties. Neglect, lack of communication, abandonment are the most common cause of complaints against lawyers filed with the NV state bar association. These are primary breaches of the legal code of ethics. As physicians we found this behavior reprehensible. Law is supposed to be a profession. With a multimillion-dollar estate we cannot risk having this individual associated with our affairs or their settlement when we are gone. Luke's behavior made the documents he created for us worthless. We identified another attorney and we have had to expend the significant time and expense necessary to recreate our complete estate documents free of anything associated with Welmerink. This wasted duplication inflicted major damages so we sent a letter to Luke requesting only reimbursement for his stated fees, not the 25% gratuities or reimbursement for gifts. He did return these charges....without apology. We have not been made whole since we wasted our time with someone who showed himself to be irresponsible, untrustworthy...and definitely not who or what he initially appeared to be. We notice that there is another one-star review from the same time period in early 2022 on Yelp for the same issue...lack of follow through. This indicates that our experience was not unique. Past behavior usually predicts future performance. We hope your experience is better than ours and that Luke will be there for you when you need him. We will never understand how someone we held in such high regard could fall so completely out of grace. Very regrettably, Drs. Turner & Mainster

I was looking for a lawyer to do my living trust my lawyer in California didn’t want to do it because of the different laws between the states so I asked a coworker if he knew of a good lawyer that does living trust here in Nevada he gave me Luke’s business card I held onto it for almost a year before I decided to call while I finally made the call to Luke’s office I set an appointment for a consultation I wish I didn’t wait so long Luke is amazing caring giving and a man with the heart and really cares about his clients I have met many lawyers and had a few in my life but none of them has ever treated me and me feel more like family like who I I would have met him sooner I feel I have made a lifelong friend so I give Luke 1 million stars if you’re looking for an amazing lawyer like Luke he is amazing
