Over the last year I have had the privilege of retaining Attorney Hipple on three different occasions. All three, times Attorney Hipple handled my cases with the utmost professionalism. What I appreciated most was Seth's honesty. Seth was upfront about his fees and the odds of winning my cases. I never felt pressured to retain him and i felt he had my best interests at heart. Seth always took the time to speak with me on the phone or in person and he never made me feel rushed. I have never had to retain a lawyer for a criminal case and I am very glad I had Seth in my corner. I learned a lot about the laws regarding my case and how the legal system works. Seth was compassionate and listened to my side. He explained that although certain parts of my story were morally unethical on the plaintiffs side, doesn't mean he broke the law. Ironically I was the one who broke the law in the end. Fortunately for me, I had Seth representing me. That one incident resulted in three different cases Seth did his magic and 5 of the 6 charges with unconditionally nolle prossed and one charged dropped to a violation. In the two other cases I appealed the courts decision. Seth did an amazing job of counseling me for my court appearance and killed it in the courtroom. Seth's composure, knowledge of the law and his persuading arguments in the courtroom was extremely impressive to witness! Both cases were ruled in my favor!! I can't thank Seth enough for all he did to help me throughout the process. I was very emotional at times, due to the nature of the cases, and Seth was understanding, but had the savvy to keep me grounded throughout the process. One thing I did learn is emotions don't pertain to the law. It's not that our feelings don't matter, but being morally unethical doesn't mean a law has been broken, mental and emotional abuse can be very hard to prove, and allowing your emotions to overrule common sense, can get you arrested. Thankfully, I had excellent counsel who I will always consult with going forward; if I need of legal advice or counsel. Finally, legal counsel is just that.... experts to advise us on the legal system. Part of their job is to listen to our side and filter out the facts. It's difficult for the client at times to remember this because we are emotional about the situation. It is not the job of an attorney to make us feel better emotionally throughout the process. That is what family, friends and therapists are for. I say the above because I think sometimes, many times clients are emotional and feel like they are not being heard by their legal counsel. Clients want to feel like their story is being heard; while attorneys are hearing it, but are looking for the facts...information they can use in a court of law. So, whoever you decide to retain as counsel remember the facts are what really matter in the end and I highly recommend Attorney Hipple to be that person on your team!
