I have just gone through a challenging time following a traumatizing, tragic auto/motorcycle accident that led to 14 months of legal proceedings, culminating in a trial at Concord District Court in October 2024. I was charged with vehicular assault as a Class A misdemeanor, which could have resultedin a year in jail, significant fines, and more. Ted Lothstein was recommended to me by lawyer friends of my brother who were familiar with his work. From the very beginning, Ted demonstrated a strong belief in my understanding of the accident. Over the months we worked together, which included a fatality hearing at the DMV, he was consistently responsive to my questions and concerns. His explanations were clear, and he communicated quickly and compassionately. Ted dedicated considerable time to phone calls, often including my brother, to discuss my case and help us navigate the process. Ted was clear in stating the various possible outcomes and the various timelines I could expect for receiving decisions. He provided honest assessments of the most likely results and outlined his strategy for the trial in case the judge ruled against me. His preparation for both the DMV hearings and the district court trial was thorough. He shared with me through either, or both, emails and phone conversations, all the communication he was having with the judge, prosecutor, and hearing officer. He was prepared at both the hearing and trial with his arguments and crucial evidence, including videos of the cyclist prior to the accident as well as the accident itself. Additionally, he had maps to help clarify the scene of the accident. Furthermore, he hired an exceptionally experienced accident reconstructionist and maintained communication both with him and a key witness who had provided dashcam footage. Ted invested significant time in preparing both witnesses for the DMV hearing and the trial. During the trial, I was particularly impressed by his questioning of all witnesses. He was respectful to everyone I felt. Ultimately, I was found not guilty. I highly recommend Ted for his skills, hard work, responsiveness, professionalism, communication abilities, organization, preparedness, dedication, and compassion.

My name is Morgan - I earned a DUI in September 2023. I hired Ted as my attorney as the case was too complicated for me to deal with on my own - I got the DUI in NH, but I reside in Florida. October 22, 2022 was the day I made the biggest mistake of my life! I was arrested for a DUI by NH State Police. A few days went by and I now had to face the reality of what was to come next. So, I went online and read reviews about choosing an attorney, and after narrowing it down to 3, I gave Mr. Lothstein's office a call. I spoke with the secretary and she had great things to say about Mr. Lothstein. So, I thought I would give him a chance. I set up a free telephone consult and he was very empathetic with my situation. What I liked most was his honesty with my situation. He didn't make any empty promises about getting me 100% off the charges. I appreciated that. So, after meeting with Mr. Lothstein and discussing my case, he informed me that I was looking at potential 1 year license suspension, plus a speeding fine. Which could've added 6 months to my sentence. This news was discouraging, but of course my fault! Reference letters were submitted on my behalf, and Mr. Lothstein met with the prosecuting attorney. When Mr. Lothstein called me and told me that he negotiated my sentence down to, 6 months suspended license, with 2 months already served, and they threw out the speeding fine, I was ecstatic with the news! Calling Mr. Lothstein was the best decision I could've made!! I will never be in this situation again, I promise you that. But, if it happens to anyone I know. I know what attorney to tell them to contact!

I was convicted in a NH Superior court in 2021 on multiple felonies. My family and engaged Ted to appeal the decision in 2022 and in 2023 the conviction was overturned. Throughout the whole process Ted was professional and efficient. We are grateful beyond words to Ted and his staff for literally changing our lives.

Back in 2019 I was falsely accused of committing a crime. The subsequent police investigations resulted in my arrest and eventually a wrongful conviction. The criminal attorney who represented me throughout the ordeal highly recommended attorney Lothstein and his law firm to do the appeal. The trial transcripts and all of the other required documentation were gathered and submitted, and Lothstein and Guerriero went to work. The case was accepted by the NH Supreme Court, and oral arguments were heard in the fall of 2022. I was able to attend the oral arguments, and watching attorney Lothstein in action was an absolute privilege. Attorney Lothstein had previously explained the percentages of successful appeals to me, but I left the oral arguments feeling very, very, hopeful. On March 30, 2023, I received word that the conviction was reversed and remanded back to the Superior Court where the trial was conducted. The opinion that the Supreme Court issued was a very strong, concise, and unanimous decision. It is a decision that will be cited in motions and briefs far into the future, and will hopefully help prevent future wrongful convictions due to the law created in our case. It also gave the State of New Hampshire really no choice on their next action, as evidenced by the verbiage on the Notice of Nolle Prosequi that we received from the Superior Court: “Given Supreme Court Order of reverse and remand, the State is not pursuing this charge.” These results were not achieved by accident. The dedication given to this case by attorney Lothstein and his entire legal staff was incredible. From day one I was treated as a person as opposed to just a client. The level of comfort that I felt from the first day we spoke was as high as it could have possibly been, and it remained that way until the day the ruling was announced. The victory that we celebrated in the following days was an extremely hard, well fought, and justly deserved one that has been instrumental in helping me “recover” from a nightmare that continued for only several weeks shy of four very long years. If anyone reading this review has any doubt about who I would recommend to someone in need of an appellate attorney (or any other practice areas they specialize in), you should try reading this review again from the beginning. I know I have said it many times, but once again- attorney Lothstein, Melanie, and everyone else- Thank you again for all that you have done.

I retained Ted Lothstein to represent me in a rather complicated case in which I defended myself and was subsequently arrested and charged with a felony. I was completely blindsided by the inefficient manner of the NH criminal justice system and Ted was invaluable in his forthright manner and patience guiding me through the process. My grandson who we adopted as our son was charged with sexual assault on one of my other grandchildren. It was a difficult case with the accuser saying things that we did not believe.
