I met Attorney Maldonado after spending two years in the court system and wasting thousands of dollars on another attorney only to have nothing change. My family and I were lost in a broken judicial system, I was feeling defeated and hopeless. When interviewing new attorneys, I asked them if you were unable to take my case who would be the attorney you would recommend, they all stated Crystal Maldonado. We knew that hiring the wrong attorney would completely break us and there was no room for error. My children's lives were literally resting in the hands of someone I didn't know. Shortly after my last attorney interview, we had an emergency unfolded with my ex-husband and children that needed to be addressed immediately. In a panicked state I called Attorney Maldonado and begged for her help. She immediately validated my concerns and agreed to take on my case. Within two hours an emergency motion was filed, and my children were removed from an unsafe situation. Attorney Maldonando was instrumental in dealing with DCYF, the Guardian at Litem and other outside agencies. In a quarter of the time from my previous attorney, Attorney Maldonado was able to achieve our overall goal of keeping the children safe long term. They weren't interested in taking my case. Even though their website and TV commercials like to paint a picture of taking care of their clients.

Money hungry. I went in looking for someone to take on my case, because after talking to some lawyers I heard that not everyone is willing to take this case. I was willing to pay anything if they actually took my case, but instead I was told that I need to do a $500 assessment first to hear a yes or no, they can't just tell me on the phone if they do that type of case of not? I have to pay $500 to hear the no? Rude, money hungry, probably better not to work with them if all they think about is money.
