My wife and I worked with Kathy and her staff to create our personal simple wills and durable power of attorney documents. My employer offered a benefit for employees to get "legal services" for personal wills and estate planing through a national company that provided these legal services. I was given a list of lawyers in the Manchester, NH area and called 5 different law firms in the area to attempt to get legal services. Kathy was the only lawyer that responded to me. Never heard from any of the others. During our initial conversation, Kathy reviewed and explained clearly with me what she could provide us in preparing these wills and what we would have to provide her in order to help us. She (or a member of her staff) sent us blank template Word documents that we could complete with our specific information and simple instructions/explanations of what was needed. I completed these documents and sent them back to the office. However, there were a couple documents that I was not able to complete since they were not blank and contained the names of some other clients. This is why I wrote this review as "Good" instead of "Excellent". The office quickly corrected this issue and I was able to make the changes that I needed to the original documents. When we were ready to meet and sign the "official documents", I really appreciated that Kathy provided me with some flexible dates/times options in setting this appointment. When we met with Kathy for the "signing" of these documents, Both I and my wife appreciated her clear information when we had questions during this process and her professionalism in our conversation. Her staff, who acted as "witnesses" to the signatures were very pleasant. Out thanks to Kathy and her staff.

Kathy thank you for everything, through my difficult case you stayed relentless and made me feel comfortable and as calm as humanity possible while fighting for me and helping me get through this difficult time. My first lawyer from you law firm left because of Coronavirus but, that's ok. I have never been through this process and was told I could not enter the building due to Covid-19. I was sent emails. Well, I have dyslexia and emails can be very difficult to read. Thus, I had more questions thus, I was charged more and more. Of course, I was charged for the phone calls. I never met one lawyer face to face. Not even skype!!!! Getting hold of your office was always a challenge. I was apparently almost $300.00 over my retainer. I no longer could afford your services. Funny on your website it says your compassionate. I really don't see that at all.

Called and scheduled and appointment for 830 am I waited over an hour and no one ever called, business must be booming that they can afford to blow clients off like that. Would not recommend

I cannot overstate how glad I am to have had Sekella Law represent me. Going through a divorce (especially with children involved) is a very stressful and disheartening experience. Just keeping yourself together day to day is difficult. Heather was wonderful, not just from a legal standpoint but from a personal standpoint as well. She really knows her stuff. She spotted nuances in proposed divorce documents that most attorneys would not have caught. Those nuances would have limited my time with my children. She knew what I wanted and she fought tirelessly for me. When something urgent came up that I needed to inform her about even if it was on the weekend, she would get back to me immediately. As great as her skill and dedication is, her personal touch really sets her apart. Heather was always there to listen, explain and encourage. When I was down or uncertain about how things would turn out, she was always able to lift my spirits and keep me going. Heather's whole staff is excellent. Heather's paralegal Amanda is nothing short of extraordinary. She is highly skilled, efficient and always willing to listen. The rest of the Sekella Law staff are all excellent as well. They always took the time to help in any way they could. I recommend Sekella Law without reservation.

Heather Sekella represented me in a baseless domestic abuse restraining order case filed as a tool by my wife as part of a divorce/custody case. Baseless, because her own statements to police (and written in their reports) directly contradicted what she stated in court. She was a most outstanding ally in this process and quite attentive to my concerns, the concerns I had for our children, and the DV case on the divorce. As the RO was dropped within 2.5 days (due to a weekend) I was, to the say least absolutely speechless and will be forever grateful to her and her staff. My children will never know the debt of gratitude we owe them. We met, she listened in a relaxed, no BS way laid everything out for me and developed a strategy and guided me right where we (as a team) needed to be. She is no nonsense in her assessments - and that is what you need in these matters. This is your family, your children, and your livelihood that we talking about. No sugarcoating is what you need. In court, she was flawless in her attack on my wife's case and breaking it apart, and exposing the lies, mis-statements, and contradictions repeatedly. I can tell you that I do not have a single regret in hiring her and her team in this case. The feeling of my children's arms around me a few days later were worth far more than the money spent for her. She earned every penny, and she has the highest recommendation I could give anyone. Called and spoke to a non attorney over the phone who sounded like a high schooler. She told us we needed to be prepared to terminate the rights of my children’s father for a stepparent to adopt them. Not sure the secretary is qualified to tell us that. She gave us a retainer quote when all I asked for was the fee for an initial consultation. Incidentally the fee for a 30 min phone consultation with an attorney is free. If my interaction with this young lady on the phone is any indication of the legal services I would say - unprofessional. When it comes to your family and kids I’m not sure that’s what any of us are looking for.

Heather and staff have always been wonderful. They’ve worked with me day and night on a case and each outcome was always perfect. Heather is a work-horse, not afraid to back down when challenges arise. Heather’s niche is her ability to place herself in client’s shoes and see each case through a different lense. She is always prepared for the worst case scenarios; however, her ability to bring the case from point A to Z in a professional and evident manner doesn’t allow the other party to throw her case off balance. If anyone needs a powerhouse attorney and one who is never about solely making money, call Heather and get her on your case. I would retain her a thousand times over!

Heather did an outstanding job as my advocate! I always knew where I was in the process, what my options were, and she fought to reach a very fair settlement for me. I would recommend to anyone looking for a family law attorney!
