I was referred to Kevin from an old friend. I don’t have much small business knowledge when it comes to the paperwork etc. Kevin answered all questions and helped me tremendously through the process of purchasing the gym I work(ed) for! He was very attentive, timely and through. I plan to use him for future work! I highly recommend him.

Atty Kevin G. Collimore is best characterized as the people's attorney Fighting for the common person In pursuit of justice. You and your family need a Attorney that Actually listens, returned your phone calls in a timely fashion keeping you up-to-date with your case, providing options in your best interests to prevail with the best outcome for your family or business. Atty Kevin G. Collimore is a remarkable human being that cares about people. When a serious matter occurs you want the very best at your side in a courtroom pursuing justice in your best interests. Unfortunately many law firms are $ expensive arrogant and aloof When dealing with the general public, this Law office serves the common people in all disciplines of law. Hopefully you will never need an attorney but if circumstances Require the services Highly recommend making an appointment with these folks in Nashua New Hampshire.

I was at a complete loss after a house fire, as our home was not put back to its original condition. I asked Kevin if he did this type of law and just asked his opinion. However, he took the time to listen to our situation and offered guidance. Kevin has been awesome and not only has he gone above and beyond, but he has gone out of his way to help us! He is understanding and compassionate to our situation and has made us feel important. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Attorney Kelly has been a great light in the scary tunnel called Bankruptcy that I found myself in. Patient, careful and so knowledgeable this office helped me wade through the vast and overwhelming world of the U.S. Bankruptcy System. Truly such a professional individual, such a great representation of in my own opinion, of what a Lawyer someone who you trust to help you through such situations, should be.

Andrew, did an excellent job on my legal documents. He listened to me and explained everything in a simple, thorough way so I could understand what the documents meant. He took his time and did not rush me. My documents were sent to me in a timely manner so I could review them and then once I approved, made an appointment to be signed. It was a pleasure working with Andrew.

By far, Attorney LaFrance from start to finish with my divorce case was extremely professional, well-detailed, informative, understanding and supportive. Communication was also top-notch with Attorney LaFrance. Clearly one can tell that Attorney LaFrance provides the respectful amount of attention, takes the time to listen and provide effective feedback in a very timely manner. I am very grateful I found Attorney LaFrance who successfully assisted me in the most difficult time of my life from start to finish. Thank you for everything, on behalf of myself and my daughter.

Patricia (Patti) LaFrance esq. Is an amazing attorney. She did a very nice job laying out exactly what my expectations should be during my divorce. She quickly ascertained the nature of my case and the unique challenges that I was left to deal with. She is particularly well versed and known for her advocacy in domestic violence cases. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised when our Judge knew her by first name and referred to her work when she was with the prosecutors office. The judge certainly seemed to value her legal arguments and opinions. Needless to say I got a more-than fair result in my divorce. If I should ever be in the unfortunate need for an attorney then Patti is the very first person I am going to call. Thank you Patti for your incredible effort. It made a big difference for my children and myself.

Patricia was hired to assist in appealing a denied claim filed with our insurance carrier for a large employee theft that occurred at my company. I had been battling back and forth for well over a year with our carrier before dismissing our current attorney and hiring Patricia. Patricia had the issue resolved for us within a couple months and our claim was paid in full. She has also been assisting us with the ongoing criminal investigation of the former employee and has been instrumental in keeping a very slow process moving forward. Patricia is personal, smart and extremely competent. I'd highly recommend hiring her for your legal matters.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Nashua, New Hampshire?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
