1 star because she introduced me to a bankruptcy lawyer. As far as her I’d rate negative stars. A complete car salesman. This disgust me to write this as this woman was referred to me by a good friend. I put my trust & money in the professionalism of this woman. She never disclosed that she had a mutual friend of my ex wife. As my lawyer she ignored my request to go to trial, telling me all the evidence gathered wasn’t enough (2 signed affidavits, 5 videos & plenty of fraudulently signed & notarized documents, bank statements, a failed drug test, a refusal of a sobriety test, a police pursuit, continuous violations of the court order, etc). Ms Cathcart had me sign an agreement as I told her repeatedly that i did not want to. And wanted to go to trial. She swore on her experience that it was in my best interest in take the deal. Exactly what my ex wife wanted & needed. While explaining the deal she presented she kept skipping pages & partially explaining the agreement. While she purposely did not mention there was more involved that would have prevented me agreeing. Then after she got me to sign she continued misleading me with false “change of circumstance” scenarios. After she knew she mislead me into signing away my rights to everything. Afterwards Ms Cathcart continued billing me with these scenarios she presented. Even though she was aware that when she tricked me into signing away all my rights. I found this out months later after I went for a 2nd & 3rd opinion on the case. All parties explained to me how my lawyer Ms Cathcart screwed me over & thought she was completely unprofessional for misinforming & billing me afterwards. Then a year later i found out from from someone related to the mutual friend that they reached out to Ms Cathcart on my ex wife’s behalf. In all my case was torpedoed & Ms Cathcart advised me to file for bankruptcy as I was placed hundreds of thousands of dollars in fraudulent debt. And helping my ex wife walk away from 11 felonies of fraud & identity theft. All this with my 2 young children involved that were watching their mother have an affair right in front of them. And countless other disgusting acts. I am in a custody battle now that should have never been thanks to Ms Cathcart’s actions. When I questioned her she responded by saying “she’s not a bad mother”. So integrity & professionalism is definitely something that should be considered before paying the retainer.
