Todd Palumbo will be there with you all the way! I felt less anxious knowing that he was there on my side. He comes out with enough proof and evidence to show the plaintiff was making false statements and breaking the law. You need a good lawyer to defend you in the court of law Mr. Palumbo is your attorney.

Always answers calls personally on first ring. Worth the wait if you show up in his office as his 24/7 work ethic is right before your eyes. This man works harder than any other attorney I have encountered. Mr. Pisano yielded excellent result - three times insurance offer. Serious attorney, attentive, high energy and fast paced.

Mr. Pisano fought my insurance company for seven years. He has extremely experienced certified trial attorneys working with him. The insurance company wouldn't settle which was not a concern for Mr. Pisano who picked a jury and tried my case to verdict. He convinced a judge to try the case all over again after the jury came back with a ridiculously low verdict. I couldn't believe it! Mr. Pisano tried the case all over again receiving a very large verdict from the second jury. He then convinced the doctors to waive significant portions of their fees so that I was finally compensated. He doesn't quit until his client's interest are fully protected. I would highly recommend this lawyers to others.

Unreal energy! The amount and quality of legal work this individual handles is incomparable. He never stops pushing on behalf of a client, regardless of the size of the case. Today I received the amazing news that Mr. Pisano convinced a panel of three judges to reverse a trial judge's ruling, which of course means I will receive the settlement I was always entitled to. I am told that most lawyers would have not even tried to win my appeal.

First, I had a consultation with Melissa and explained my situation and where I stood within my situation. She listened intently, did not interrupt, and when I finished, she asked some questions about what I had said, and offered some explanation of how I should be handling myself as well as my case. She not only understood my case thoroughly but I got the feeling that she also understood me. I felt very comfortable talking to her, and she felt comfortable explaining and talking to me, I felt. I hired her on the spot. (this meeting was approximately two hours) During the next few months, she was always there for me. Before I would act on anything between my wife and I, I always consulted her first. She not only Offered advice but explained both sides of the story. Then left the decision of what to do to me. I was able to make sound decisions based on her counsel and looking at the situation in more than one perspective. She guided me every step of the way and helped me to an unbelievable conclusion of my case. I would also like to mention that her assistant,Meghan, Was absolutely wonderful!!

Melissa was amazing! I wouldn’t recommend getting divorced to anyone, but if you do Melissa is who you want in your corner. She worked tirelessly even on her weekends and any odd time that I reached out to her. She made this very difficult time as easy for me as possible.

I hired Melissa to handle my divorce. She was extremely knowledgeable about my rights as they pertained to my situation. Melissa guided me through the entire process which at times could be unnerving. She never missed a deadline and kept me on track whiIe I had many other life obligations to manage. Melissa was very proactive in following up with opposing counsel in order to keep the process moving forward. Her professionalism and dedication to my situation was outstanding and I would highly recommend her!

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Cranford, New Jersey?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
